dry socket pain

I got my wisdom teeth pulled Friday, something in my mouth got irritated and i had to go to the dentist today. He did something to my mouth, and now when i look at the hole, it looks black.
Is this a blood clot or what? It looks really gross...the whole area is just black.

I got dry socket pain it was awful extremely painful. I had all my wisdom teeth taken out but, also other teeth and got the same pain. It can last about a month. It is such a relief when the pain has gone. You may have got something in the whole or he might have put a antiseptic in your teeth which helps the pain. If you are worried go back to your dentist and find out. I feel for you because I remember the pain it was awful. Strong pain killers help and warm salt washes.

i dont know if its dry socket or not, but it just looks really gross...the whole is just pure black...its an open hole now...so is it ok for me to eat? after i eat do i do the salt water? will it burn really bad?
