What color are the walls in your home? Do you tend to leave them all white or do you like to add some color to them? The walls in our main living areas are tan with white trim. Our game room has a really nice shade of green with white trim. I recently painted our guest bedroom walls purple! Yep purple! LOL. My husband wasn't too sure about it at first but now that it's done it looks really nice. It's a nice lavendar shade of purple and I added tan carpet and shades. Looks good.

In our living room, kitchen, guest room, and office their all white.
Our bathroom is white too but it's got ugly paneling that can't be taken down until we refinish the bathroom. There at one time was pink and blue tile up and the previous owners removed it and put up the paneling over the glue. So I'm stuck with it until we can refinish.
In our den we painted it a very pretty tanish greenish color. It's mostly tan with a hint of green. I love it. It looks so great with our furniture.
Our bedroom I painted purple. It's my favorite color and our bed set has purple in it so I went for it. It looks great in there too. It's a lighter more lavender color purple than royal purple but it's a dark lavender.
I also painted my laundry room purple too - but it is a lavender. It makes it look so light and airy in there :)
We were going to paint one wall (by my table) in the kitchen half black with glossy strips but I ended up changing my mind. My cousin did this in her house and it looks incredible! My kitchen is in Coke so it would fit right into it but I thought it would be a pain to change if I ever wanted to.

:) Oh yeah! And if I ever have a little girl - her wall will be purple too! At least until she says she wants something different.

Currently in this rental we have white walls. The landlord lady said that we could paint and would buy the paint. I think a living room with walls of the color of tan would be sharp. Then the furniture could stand out more. My daughter has a blue bedroom, she wants red. Don't know why. My bedroom would be lavendar but with a hubby I would choose more of a yellowish or robin egg blue for that. Currently white, but if we are here a while we might just color the walls! wish us luck.

We are renting a house and that might be the reason. For you I would suggest to get some wallpaper and use starch to attach it. That is totally removable and then only a wipe down of the walls where you use it would be needed. I wish you luck and happy coloring!

Colour on the walls of my room is light green.Scientific studies says green background is good for studying. But I dont fnd any difference between green or any other colour as I feel really sleepy on entering my room.

I always prefer white walls. It's brighter and it's easier to contrast with wall decorations. I know it get's dirtier with time, but I enjoy to hang a lot of different wall decorations and photos so I'm never afraid they don't match with walls.

we don't have paint on our walls. we use wallpaper in every room except for the living room downstairs. it's wood panelling. But still, the color scheme in our house are very earthy colors, brown, maroon florals, pale yellow.. my room is tangerine on top, floral border and pale green at the bottom. So far, i love it.. :)

There was panelling in one of our bedrooms when we bought our house. Instead of taking it down, we painted it a nice color. It turned out really good. I was very impressed.

Oh boy LOL!! Have you tried the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser? It works wonders on walls! I've had to use it in my daycare a few times. It takes the crayon marks off very easily.

The initial color on my wall is pearl white. However, as the years go by, the color become cream yellow. I prefer rainbow colors on my walls, but it is difficult and expensive to maintain, and so the walls are rainbow colors only in my dream home.

I personally cannot wait until the day I own my own home again to be able to have some color in my life. I absolutely am going bonkers with all the white walls where we live now. But we are unable to change them as we rent only. There are shades of purple that do look rather nice on walls. I bet he was thinking the purple you see all the time on little girl clothes and stuff..lol

Yeah he was probably thinking that he'll never let me pick out paint color again LOL. But he was happy with the end results. Although now he just calls it "the purple room".

When you said purple I must say it sounded a bit shocking, but lilac does not sound too bad, well my walls are different all through the house, the walls in my kitchen are white and I have black brick style tiles in contrast which is nice, my livingroom is neurural, has beige and a light brown, hall stairs and landing also beige, my room is a beige but with a bright mosern wallpaper on one wall, my daughters is pink and lilac, my spare room is beige (not got round to decorating spare room yet lol) bathroom and toilet room both white but open to suggestions. lol.

We still have a bathroom to paint. Actually we have to redo the entire bathroom. It's the one room in the house that haven't remodeled yet. Right now it looks like something from the 1980's.

Right now the colors of my walls are all white but I do plan on doing some painting in the near future. I am thinking about painting my bedroom walls blue since my bed sheets and curtain would match. Blue is one of my favorite colors and would look good in the bedroom. I am not sure what colors I will use for the other rooms. It sounds like your home looks really nice with those colors you chose for the rooms.

I'm a big fan of colors, especially bold ones :) My old house, I painted the great room a pale yellow and painted one wall a bright licorice red. Sounds tacky, but it was so cool, the yellow was almost a gold color compared to the red, and I had an Oriental theme in that room-right down to my fish tanks lol.
Our new house, I liked most of the colors they had, just had to tweak some of them a bit lol. Our foyer/hallway is a dark green, the living room was green, but I painted it a burgundy red, our bedroom is a darker blue which I'm going to paint a deep royal blue, our master bath was a baby poop/puke green color so I painted it a light blue/grey granite texture paint(has sand in it I think). The kitchen is that same puke color, not sure if I"m going to go with a bright yellow or a tangerine color. Haven't even thought about what to do with the girl's rooms. One wants a dark blue with white paw prints on it :) I hate the actual painting part, it's so messy, but I love the after effects. It's amazing how a simple coat of paint will totally change a room!!

We too are having different colors in our house and i like a lot. one of our friend is having eight colors in hall. she has different combination of curtains too to match the color of the wall. when she told me i was shocked llike anything because i felt it so weird an idea of painting the hall with eight colors and then the chandelliers too matching, curtains , sofa, carpet.......everything was matching. when i heard it on fone , it sounded a very bad taste to me , but when i visited her place with my hubby, i was like WOWWW!!!!, this looks fabulous. toatlly fantastic. she is having a nice hall. not very big but too small too. so the eight colors in it look good.
ok, ok... i was writing down mine, haha......i stopped mine and started writing of someone else's story. i am having light purple , you can say, lavender shade in my bedroom, with white furniture, and the color of the curtains are alwayz changing on every week. my other bedroom is very light brown, with brown carpets and light brown furniture and wardrobe section. curtains beige with nmaroonish shade big flowers on it. my one bathroom is total white with everything top to bottom of white marble. my second bathroom is white print tiles, white marble on the floor and white marble to seperate the section of it. i transparent round washbasin with with stones all around and flowerpot. my hall is of diffferent style. on one wal i am having a paint where any one who wanna try his/her hand in painting can give it a try there, and it can be removed very easily. it is huge wall and i love to sketch on it. when ever i have guests at my place, there little ones enjoy a lot there, because it is whole lot of fun. one wall is olive green, with palish green curtains having green and yellow flower prints on it. one wall is beige having dark brown plain curtains . i have hanged some pearl strings , some shell woven in a string, some small glass pieces, (mirror like)one can see there face in it, but the pieces are very small. i have made all sort of strings and hanged on that portion where tyhe hall is connecting to other room and the house inside. many peoploe like that a lot. i make it opn my own and i have made that for many people. on festival time these sold a lot and because people like to decorate there houses with different kinds of decorative stuffs, this hand made item looks very beautiful.

All of the walls in my house are white except for the ones in my bedroom (and the bathroom, of course, which is tiled). My kitchen, living room, and dining room are all basically one long room, with half wall separators, so of course they have walls of the same color. It's classy, though. My bedroom has dark gray walls, which contrast with the light wood furniture. I really love it.
