Who is the worst control freak you have ever known and why?

I think the worst control freak I know is probably me. I am just very head strong on getting things done my way and the way I want them done and when I want them done. I am very bad about this. It drives me nuts if someone doesn't go with what I say.

My worst control freak was my highschool sweetheart. He had to know where I was at all times...as soon as he got home he would call me...if I was in the bathroom when he called he would question me where I was and what was I doing...I tending to wait to go to the bathroom when he called, but I had to leave him on the line or he would wonder what I was doing. One time I was at the store trying to pick out a toy for my daughter (not his kid BTW), and he had me paged over the loud speaker, because I was at the store too long and he was wondering if I was still there and if not then I must be doing something bad cuz I wasn't at his house, but I was at the store...I was humiliated when I answered the phone and it was him. There were tons of other instances, I could write a book there are so many. After we broke up he stalked me for 15 years!!!

It would have to be my son, everything has to be his way, people have to eat a certain way, dress a certain way, swallow a certain way ectera, it never stops

My ex-husband thought he knew every thing and tried to control me! That is why he is the EX. My younger daughter is married to a very smart guy who is a real control freak and I am so glad I am not around him much. He thinks he know every thing and if you dont agree with him you are wrong. I have been known to bait him into somethng and prove him wrong. I really got upset one Sunday when he insisted that my daughter wait to eat until after church because her priorities were not right and then he told my granddaughter she could not go to church because she did not have a dress, he would not let her wear a nice shorts set. She was nine. Sometimes I could just smack him.

A business partner of mine was a bit of a control freak. If we had a meeting arranged, I noticed that he insisted we go in his car, so that he could determine when we left the meeting and where else we would go. He did this constantly even though he knew fool well I had my own business commitments outside our arrangements. Needless to say he's not my partner any more LOL

the worst control freak i know is... MY MOM! i know some of you would react differently but my mom really is a control freak. when i was young, i was not allowed to cut my hair. i grew it really long just a few inches away from my waist. she never wanted me to cut but then the rebel inside me did it and when she found out she did not allow me to go to the concert that i have been preparing for months.... also, i was coerced to take up a course i never really liked. fortunately.. i finished it... until now, i'm 29 years old she still dictates me on what to do with my life making me afraid to try new things for fear of being criticized by her

I have to say the person that tops my list of control freaks has to be my Mother. She had to control everything in my life, even after I married and had children, it was crazy living in the same city as her or much less having her come visit for me weeks on end so she could straighten out my supposedly horrible life that she enjoyed doing on a regular basis. To this day, I can't stand anybody that is controlling, just turns me off completely.

I worked for a few months for a woman who was so bad, she monitored everyone's conversations, and would interupt and tell everyone to get to work, that they were wasting time. We were never allowed to talk to each other, and always had to appear busy. she even tried to tell me how to dress, which really made me angry. It's not like it was some ritzy place. We had t shirts with the store logo on them, and since it was cold, I wore a hooded sweatshirt over the t shirt. She told me I could wear the t shirt over a thermal, but not the sweat shirt over the t shirt. I refused,and told her to fire me. She begged me to stay on past the busy season, so I did, but I did what I wanted to. She was so bad that she could not keep a boyfriend, or employees. Once a girl came in very sick, obviously with the flu. Instead of sending her home, she made her wipe down all the phones and counters with disinfectant, and wouldn't let her go home when she became very feverish. Her dad bought the store for her, and he worked there too, after he got off of his regular job, and she treated him like crap too.

My husbands ex wife was the biggest control freak I ever met. I casually knew her before meeting my husband and she was very scary. She would talk about how he had to do everything she said, and if he didn't she would withold food from him! Basically everyone would eat in front of him and he wouldnt be "allowed" and he had no money of his own, no debit card, nothing. She was in charge of everything. I cant imagine living a life like that, if you can even call it a life. An ex of my was very controlling as well, basically wanted to tell me who I could talk to, and when. Whatever! I am my own person! But those kind of control freaks can be really scary, in my opinion!

My boss. Everything has to be her way otherwise she's nt happy. I hate her but put up with it because its an easy job and the pay isn't that bad. otherwise i would so be out
