Are cell phones killing the honey bee?

A British study suggested that the proliferation of cell phones are causing the honey bees to abandon the hives, leaving the queen and the eggs behind. Due to this Colony Collapse Disorder the population of the honey bee has declined by 60%. Others suggest that the introduction of genetically modified crops are causing the bees to die. Honey bees are needed to pollinate crops. Every third bite of food we eat grown with the help of the honey bee. What do you think is happening to the honey bee?

I've seen a few of those articles as well. They say the cell phone towers are causing it, a fungus or bacteria is killing them off, I just read one yesterday that said it may be from some pesticides that are being used, even global warming is being blamed. I think it's probably a combination of all of them. I believe the article that mentioned the cell phone towers said it was documented that the hives that wear near the towers were abandoned. It's said, and I think it'll be a bad chain reaction of events that'll happen if they go extinct.

Some say the bees are like the canaries in the coal mines. The first sign that something is seriously wrong. Question is should the honey bee become extinct, how will we pollinate our crops?

Quote that has been attributed to Albert Einstein saying that if bees were to disappear, the human race would follow suit four years later because of the important role bees play in pollinating plants. If we are looking for an explanation for colony collapse disorder, perhaps we should look at herbicides, pesticides and we should especially think about genetically modified drops.
