We mix rice with our mixed vegetables and use it with the pork chops or meatloaf or some other meat for dinner at home. That is one of our favorite side dishes. It helps to fill us up and if there are more vegetables than rice then it is way healthy for us. Rise can raise sugar levels. Anyway, it is part of our diet and are glad for it.

When I take lunch along I eat sandwiches and I take a piece of fruit like an apple, a pear or an orange along. I never buy food at lunch. Where I live it is unknown to take rice along, we take sandwiches along that we have prepared at home before.

I always eat home cooked food in lunch or any meal for that matter. As freshly cooked hot spicy food tastes good and is good for health too. I used to eat rice regularly for lunch with pulses and yoghurt and salad and drink water with it. But i only eat rice sometimes for lunch as nowadays i eat chappatis ( rotis made from flour) with pulses, cooked veggies salad. Cheers:)

I eat rice at lunch and parotas at dinner. I am a retired person and I have sumptuous lunch. We have curry, sambar, rasam and curd all mixed with rice. I take 4 chapathis with curry at dinner. Sometimes i go to different restaurants to taste the other cuisines.

we always have rice in our meal be it a white steam rice or brown one that we love to eat with different dishes like pork schezuan, chicken terriyaki, roasted chicken or pork chops, grilled fish or soy steamed and even with stir-fried vegetables and so much for spicy mix seafoods with oyster sauce.
some left over rice we are fan of making it into garlic rice ...cooked in butter with chopped garlic and little soy sauce. so great as well for breakfast with sunny side-up or even scrambled eggs and sausage.

Rice is basically a part of the daily food here in my country. But I don't eat rice everyday. Sometimes, I will fix myself a sandwhich for my lunch or noodles. I'm actually amazed that the people here can eat rice all through 3 meals in a day.

Ricce is the staple food for us Filipinos. You always find rice on tables of every Filipino family. It goes with anything. You can practically eat anything with rice. We eat three timea a day with rice on top of it all. The traditional way to cook rice is by boiling it although you can have it fried when there are leftovers. We usually cook our own food and do not eat or buy hotel foods.

I eat rice whenever I can. I do like rice. It is just a simple food with a good taste to it. You can pretty much make it anyway you want.
