Have you taken the selling tutorial? How many CD's do you have that you want to list? Try researching the CD's on Ebay, and see if they sold or are selling. You can check completed listings. If you have some rare cd's, you can try listing them as a single item. Other, more popular cd's might do better as a lot. If you use a gallery image, that is 40 cents. Any listing that you start with a starting bid of under $1.00 will cost 20 cents to list plus whatever extras you choose, like the gallery picture, additional 35 cents. Don't forget that Ebay will take a cut of your winning bid profit, which at this time, is 4.5%, because they are running a special through the beginning of August.
Also, check out the community forums at ebay. The blogs are a much nicer area than the message boards. I have a blog over there, and there are many helpful people on the ebay blogs.
Good Luck!! Maybe I'll see you over there....my ebay id is gadget_kat.

I forgot to add, if you start listings at anywhere between $1.00 to $9.99, those cost 40 cents to list plus the cost of gallery picture, and any other extras.
Look into using Auctiva if you can. It's a site where you can create your listings for ebay, but you get free templates and you can use up to 15 pictures for free in your listing. You would still have to pay for a gallery pic, though, if you choose that option.

Hello ScarletAlston, since you originally posted, ebay is becoming way to expensive to sell on.
Give ebid.net a try :)

Hi, just a couple more tips for you, make sure you weigh with packaging to give a correct postal charge, not sure if you have a postal service in the US where the receiver has to sign for their items, but that's all I send mine out on as then you have a signature to say it's actually been received and can claim against the post office if not (that's in the UK, but sure they do something similar in the US) Secondly check out what other similar items are going for, yours are far more likely to sell if they are realistically priced. Thirdly if you're brand new to Ebay and have no feedback, then it's worth buying a few cheap items just to get your feedback score up first, most people prefer to see some history to an account, rather than purchasing from someone with none. Hope those little tips help and you have a successful time on ebay - it can be an enjoyable experience and most out there are genuine, although you will find the odd one that ruins it for all, taking Paypal is important too as they can support you if you find things go wrong. Good Luck.
