I'm Korean & my girl friend is Irish/German... She speaks bit of Korean... Best way to learn a language is to use it everyday... Even if you're not into making new friends, get your friends you have involved... Get them to learn it with you & everyday, put some time aside to speak only Korean... That's how my girl-friend learned... She & I put 1 hour a day & for that hour, we would only speak Korean... Then we bumped it up to 2 hours, then 3... Now she mixes'em up... She doesn't even realize now, middle of her talking, she would throw in few Korean words here & there & every now & then she would say some phrases in Korean... I think that's best way to learn any language...

I find it so difficult. My bf is Korean and till now, I never knew how to speak not to mention write or read. I think I'm just plain lazy to learn but I love to watch Korean drama. I watch them in their original language so I kind of pick up a few words. So I know when he is saying not so good things about me. Its so funny... hahaha... I suggest go to Korea to learn. Why? One has to go to a country to learn the language well and pick up fast. Morever, in Korea, most people do not really speak in English. Hence, it will force you to pick it up quickly.

You should have friends from korea. Get more korean friends or anyone who can speak hanguk, from mylot (heheh), friendster, or any sites so you can be friend with them and chat with them. Probably you can find one or two persons who has interest to talk with foreigner. Hmmm... Hey, in mylot there are some koreans here online. maybe you can try to communicate with them.
