We use the same sheets all year long , we have two different sets but they get used no matter what Season it is but I have noticed that others have winter and summer sheets . Do you have different sheets for the differenet seasons , do you find that some are actually warmer in the winter then in the summer ? Are these sheets like clothes when you buy them and can be bought cheaper at different times of the year or are hard to find in the summer if it is winter time ?

I use to have summer sheets that were cotton and winter sheets that were flannel, but now I just use cotton sheets all year. The flannel sheets are much warmer than the cotton and they are warmer when you first get into bed, so you aren't getting into a cold bed in the winter. I use to buy them on clearance at the end of winter for the following year. Since I hit 40, I get much hotter while sleeping, so use cotton all year long.

I use cotton all year long to and like to have it cooler when I sleep even in the winter as I find it more comfortable when sleeping if it is cooler then when it is too warm .
Thank you for your response .

I think it depends on where ou live. I grew up further south, and we did not change the weight of the sheets. Now I live further north, and enjoy using flannel sheets in the winter. You will seldom find them in the store in the summer, just as you do not find beach towels in the winter. If you do, they are on clearance and are cheap if you like the color and style.Flannel sheets are cuddly and soft and warmer than cotton or cotton blend sheets. The cotton is crisp and cooler in the summer. Buying sheets is expensive, but going for good quality, and washing them regularly trading off with at least one other set makes them wear better.

I use the same sheets year round for my bed. But, I don't for the kids. I put soft flannel sheets on the kids' beds in the winter. It just makes them feel snuggly when they crawl into their beds. I put regular sheets on their beds the rest of the year.
I usually find flannel sheets cheap in the Spring. Some times I come across deals on flannel sheets in the Summer.

I have normal sheets for summer and I have flannel sheets for winter. These flannel sheets are really cozy! I love them when it is cold outside and it is fun to go to bed. The investment was worth it. May I suggest you look online at mail order houses before buying in a store? This way you can compare prices pretty good before buying.

no, i don't have a different sheet for summer and winter... i use the same one all year long as i don't see the need to use a different one for different season... i don't have the budget for that anyway and i think it is just a waste...

I used to, when I was back home. No central heating back home - not necessarily needed either, in any case - but it does get a bit cold during the winter so I used to get flannel sheets during winter and normal ones during the summer.
It was easy to find them because almost everyone did the same :) So they were always available.
In here with central heating there in no need to do that, I actually feel hot during the winter and I wouldn't want to have flannel sheets.

I use flannel sheets in the winter. Our house gets so cold that the flannel sheets really do help keep you warmer. HUGE TIP ABOUR FLANNEL SHEETS: DO NOT WEAR FLANNEL PAJAMAS WHEN YOU USE FLANNEL SHEETS. You end up feeling like one of those flannel felt boards that you see in Sunday school classes. Seriously, it's not funny. I learned the hard way.
I like 300 or better thread count in the summer. They are so crisp and cool feeling. Also, they dry so much faster in the dryer and in the summer, you want to run your dryer as little as possible so as not to heat up the house.
I also have special sheets we use during Christmas. They are Christmas themed and we only use them from the day after Thanksgiving until January 6th.

I have three different sets of sheets i use through the seasons. I use cotton sheets for late sprind and summer because they are cooler. I use flannel sheets for late fall early winter. I have furry sheets that i was for the coolest part of the winter as they are very snuggly and warm lol. I do find it hard to buy sheets for the winter in the summer and vice versa guess they are put out in the store with the winter stock like winter boots and jackets u never seem them on display in the stores n the summer time either.

Yes most definitely. I have two different sets, one that is more thick and hence warmer for the colder season while the other is more thin and is made of a lighter material. And they do make a difference and they do feel really different too.
This applies to both bed sheets and blankets. The different sets are used during different seasons of the year. For me I am not really a big user of heaters and such and so I find that this is a good alternative and on really really cold nights, nothing beats going to bed and getting all covered up.
On the hotter periods of the year, even though its very warm, it still feels good to get covered up because of the lighter and thinner material. It actually does cooler with the material pressing against your skin and does save a bit of energy without needing to constantly have then fan blowing or air-conditioning running all day long.
About the price it does make a difference in terms of when you buy it. The warmer stuff can be brought for very cheap during summer and when just when winter is over where stores usually have their stock take sales. And vice versa for the cooler and thinner sheets. Thats from my own experience though.

WOW! I thought I was at least a bit unique but I guess not! A few years back when I first found some fannel sheets I got so excited. I hate getting into a cold bed in the winter so the fannel sheets were great. I only have a light comforter on the bed during the winter so the heavier sheets are great. In the summer we just have the cotton sheets. For some reason, no matter how hot it is, I have to have SOMETHING to cover up with. If I am too hot I just stick my feet out from under the blanket/sheet and that works well for me.
You know, I don't recall that I have ever had to buy my sheets at a certain time of year. I do watch for sales because I hate paying full price for anything, but I don't think I have ever had to look really hard for the flannel sheets for winter.

I use two different sheet set's. I use cotton sheet's in the summer because they are cooler and in the winter I use flannel sheet's to keep warm. I don't keep a lot of blanket's on my bed as I get hot if I cover up with to many of them and then I can't sleep at night.

I only have two sets of sheets and they are both made out of flannel material . I don't use any other sheets so I don't know if I would like them or not . I don't like it when it is hot in a room and often have the window open so dont' think I wuold like winter sheets even in the winter time .
