Has anyone ever bumped into you and not said excuse me?

Is that not completely rude? This has happened to me a few times and I find it completely rude. It is as if the person thinks that he or she has to get where they are going and nothing or nobody else matters.

A few times, it usually happens when we are at the mall. I do find it rude when they don't say sorry for bumping into me. Sometimes I say excuse me for them and then they realise "oops, oh, umm sorry *giggles*" and then I smile and say "no problem" LOL

That is a more gracious way of handling it. I have done it that way a few times. It's true that sometimes they just don't realize it. The ones that get to me are the ones who seem to have noticed but just don't care.

It is as if the person thinks that he or she has to get where they are going and nothing or nobody else matters. Or they feel as if somehow, even though you may have not been moving at the time, it was still your fault. Yeah I have had that happen a few times, at Walmart mostly. I just scream out, "Excuse YOU!", LOL. I show them I can be a jerk also.

This normally happens in the railway stations when everyone is just running to catch the train and are not bothered about whom bumping into. They are just bothered about boarding the train.

well sometimes we should just take into account that others may be having a bad day, or they have alot on there mind and didnt even notice. we shouldnt assume that person was a jerk, because we never know what is going on in there life. just accept it as an accident, and go about your day.

You do make a good point. There are probably times when the person is completely distracted and maybe they are having a bad day. I can forgive distraction more than a bad day for some reason. I don't usually make a big deal about it when it happens. But there are some people who really come across to me as if they just don't care and everyone around them is insignificant. Those are the people I have a problem with.

This has happened to me before...I usually say quite loudly..."Oh, excuse me for being in your way"...turn and walk away...of course, if the person is elderly or handicapped I would not say this...but ignore it...

Yeah i agree, this happens to me all the time, i find it pretty direspectfull to be honest. I know i was raised with good maners, so if you feel that it's rude also , you were probably raised with good manners as well. Some people either are to self centered or just don't know any better in my opinion.

Yes, I think you're exactly right. These people are self centered.

I think this has happened to everybody. I don't want to be in so much of a hurry as to not pay attention to others. Some just go into hyperdrive and nothing else matters. It is rude and uncalled for.

Yes, plenty of times and it drives me insane. I just usually end up saying it myself loud enough so they hear me, just to be smart.

I think it is rude but a lot of people do this. Most people around here are not that rude. But some people are in such a hurry that they pay no attention to anyone. Then some think that they did nothing wrong.

Oh this happens all the time and yes, I do think it is rude to bump into someone without saying sorry. When I bump into people, I do try to say sorry either using my mouth or with a gesture. The worst cases are those who bumped into you then GLARED at you and expect you to be the one who is sorry instead!!

I get that all the time in New York. Do you think they know they bumped into you? Sometimes I bump people and I don't realize.

i too think that is completely rude. I yell at my hubby too when he will run into me even at home when he dont say sorry or excuse me. If i run into you i am gonna say sorry and i feel that everyone should have that same respect for the fellow man.

I hate it when that happens, I was always raised to say "I'm sorry", or "Excuse me." It bugged me the most when I was pregnant. Now, if someone does that I say "Excuse me" loud enough that everyone around me can hear.

When I worked at wal-mart I was constantly getting bumped into by people or even worse I would get hit by cart or older people in the motorized carts would run into me, and NEVER say excuse me. I had one person even go as far to say that I was rude because she had to run into me because I was in the way. I told her if she had said excuse me can I get by I would have had no problem moving. The problem was she nearly knocked me off of a 8 foot ladder. Talking about having the c**p scared out of you. I thought I was going to fall head first onto the concrete floor. I just dislike rude people.

wow that's horrible. I think you've experience the worst of it. knocking into you on a ladder? and not apologizing? I think there are some people that just can't admit when they do anything wrong. That's just ridiculous!

I've had someone bump into me from behind and demand I apologize to her! I've also had someone snap at me because i accidentally bumped her while carrying 2 small babies and herding 3 other children to the bus stop. people are just rude, no matter what you do. At work yesterday, I had some woman complain loudly because she actually had to wait for 3 seconds while I rolled a rack of stock through an aisle to my department. I always apologize when I've accidentally bumped, or inconvenienced someone.

Yes!!!! This has happened to me, and with my personality, of course I don't let the person think it didn't bother me! I will often give them that " look" and say " excuse me!", sometimes they scurry away, sometimes they just as rude with their mouths as they are with their bodies! I hate when they look at you like its your fault! And another thing I can't stand is when your shopping, obviously looking at something, and someone says " excuse me" in order to get me to move so they can take over searching for whatever they are looking for.. the nerve!

Hey Miami, This just happened to me over the weekend at good ole Wal-Mart. Of course its Saturady morning and half the town is in there shopping. Around here we all do it at the exact same time so Wal-Mart is just jammed packed with people. Whats more fun than an over crowded store full of rude people! And let me say Im not no slim jim here, but this couple was in the isle that I needed to go down, and the both of them are taking up half of it not only by their body size, but by their cart being in the middle as well. So Im trying to get my fat a** through there as well as these two and I dont know who bumped who but I said excuse me and they continued on chatting like it was nothing. I couldnt get to what I wanted and they didnt seem to care as long as they were happy. I finally said could you move please so I can shop as well? They both gave me a huff and a "well" and moved like it was just too much to ask! Bay xx

Yes it's so rude! I go to a Community College, and most people there have those book bags on wheels and it makes me so mad when they're on their cell phones, rolling their book bags around and then run into me like it's my fault! I actually had someone look at me, tell the person they're on the phone with to hold on and tell me I better watch where I'm going, and I'm just standing there waiting for my class to start.
