I live in a block of attached houses, all lined up. And i must confess that i've been really lucky with the neighbours that we have. One of them is a woman who is almost like part of the family. The others are also nice people, and there is a lot of confidence between ourselves. This way we can make parties in the summer till 7am knowing nobody will complain, which is cool LOL.
How are your neighbours? do you like or dislike them? have you ever had any problem with them?

Hello, LightninStrike!
I live in a rented single studio here as student. Ground floor is occupied by the homeowner. She is one of the nicest and finest persons, very caring, accommodating and down to earth person. When I first visited this studio, I knew I'll get it finalized as she appeared to be very nice. She too, didn't let any other body visit even though it was her right and I took my time to finally decide and give her a final call.
My experience with her has been very nice, interesting and of mutual respect. She became friends with my wife too even though my wife didn't know French language and the homeowner tried her best to speak English for her. We have visited some places together, shared food, friends, invitations and other things. She has also been very helpful during pregnancy of my wife, always ready to lend her vehicle, though we never used it. Overall I would say that she is one of the best proprietor one could get:-)

Well I would say we have the best kind of relationship with our neighbours. We're not all close friends with each other, and we're not forever popping into one another's houses (I would hate the intrusion of that), but there are only 6 houses in our "close", and we all keep an eye out for each other. So if someone goes on holiday, the others will always keep an eye on their house, or pop into to feed pets if necessary, and we're always available to help out with stuff like starting a faulty car in the mornings, or borrowing the ubiquitous cup of sugar. We are also all part of a local "Neighbourhood Watch" scheme in conjunction with the local Police, just to try and make the area safe. We all speak to one another and pass the time of day, but we don't intrude on one another. It works for us.

I used to like our neighbors a lot back in the neighborhood we used to live in. They were so friendly, and we'd all get together often, all the kids would hang out and the adults would order pizza and just have big parties, like you said. But in the neighborhood I live in now, it's a lot different, and its pretty unfortunate. We exchange hellos and wave at our neighbors and whatnot, but nobody is really friends with eachother, except for the older couples who have lived near eachother for years. Everyone is pretty much in their own little world, and as sad as it is, just a bit judgmental.

Most of the neighbors I have, I do not like at all. One of the neighbors we live by.... Has nor espect for anyone else, and plays freaking loud music like all night, another one of the neighbors, trashed are house while we were gone... Anotrher one of the neighbors, tied their dog to our fence, and another one of the neighbors we caught punching and beating the crap outta our fence... Some of thema re alright, but then some of then, I wish they'd move.... Ugh,

I don't like my neighbors much. I'm not close with them, though some are my friends. I'm a shy and silent person but my neighbours almost all are so chatty and noisy.

For the most part we get along well with our neighbors. There was one incident when we first moved in to our home with one neighbor but we have since moved past it.
The previous owners hadn't bothered to mow the grass for a while before we took over the property so the grass was kinda high. While I was mowing the grass I got some grass clippings into the neighbors yard. Instead of coming over to talk to me about it she went to her brothers house across the street to tell him about the issue. He came over to our house and informed me that we better get the grass clippings out of his sisters yard or else. The threat was made to my fiancees mother so it didn't sit well with my fiancee. We have as little to do with this neighbor as possible.

Hi lightninstrike!
Fortunately, here at my hometown, my neighbours are really good. They don't bother us.. and we don't bother them.. when we have a party or barbeque (it's not that noisy), they're cool about it. And when they have a celebration, we're cool about it. And we do still talk to each other when we bump into them. The neighbour to our left has a watch shop, and we always send our clocks or buy watches there.. So it's pretty nice.
I've stayed in a condo once, and the slightest noise, like accidentally pulling your chair will prompt them to come up and teach you "not to pull your chair when you sit down, but lift it".

I've always had good neighbors. My mom on the other hand has a neighbor that complains about everything. If her car breaks down & it's a week before she can get it fixed he complains about a junk car sitting there. If she parks a car on the side of the road for a couple of days he call the police about a car sitting there too long. Then he has the nerve to walk his dog over to poop in her yard everyday & not bother to clean it up.

My husband and I just bought a house and should be moving in next week and although I love the house I have to admit that I don't care for the neighbors around us . They are much older then us though and I don't feel there will be a problem but I don't care for who they are or what they do . One of them has wild crazy parties for children all the time and you have children and adults doing everything over there and I don't agree with that but the fact that we are sheltered from everything should work out ok and hopefully I won't have to put up with them to much .

Well i hope the whole moving process goes great for you all sam. Anyway, even if you don't care much about how your neighbors are, trust me that it's way better if they're nice...one never knows when he can need help from a neighbor.

Erggh! talking about neighbours this time, well I must admit that there are truly sometimes that I don't feel them as neighbours but rather an enemies around us...mostly of our neighbours are gossips, gamblers, drunkards and they keep on fighting over their own families through shouting out loud and don't even care how they're exposing their own dirt when it comes to their family's reputation.
For me, I am just waiting for the right time to come then I will surely moved out from this hell place with this kind of neighbours around us. I'm tired of hearing them cussing and fighting, I just need to live in a more quiet and peaceful place with my family with me.

Well, it's a shame that you have to put up with neighbors that are fighting and cussing all the time. It can get really stressing, because you never know if it's going to end up in a fight or in something worse....i hope they relax honey!!

Well my neighbours are fine and generous in the sense that every time there is a party in there house they never forget to invite me. Mrs Chua my closest neighbour, always invited me to go casino to play slot machine, this is her past time whenever she feels alone. She is generous it is because she gave tubes of casino token, because she knew that i never play casino so she gave me tokens so that i can accompany her.I haven't had any problem with them because my neighbours are all professionals in their way of manners.I was very happy that i have neighbours like them. You don't have any problem about their waste disposals because they segregated them properly and about the noise,my neighbours are very quiet.

before we moved out, our neighbors from our old home(in a condo) are the best. we treat each other as one family. we even exchange meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. we can talk about almost anything under the sun without feeling awkward and ashamed because we accept each other as who we are.
