For womem,beauty and intelligence which is more important?

We share the same sentiments. I would rather have intelligence. Beauty is like a flower that wilts after a while and under certain conditions. I do feel that a stupid person is unattractive. Lets face it, we are intellectual beings and the reason we like to hang out with people is not because they look good (well, maybe for some) but rather we love their company, we love the jokes that they share, we love their advices, we love the way they approach experiences. Staring at a dumb but beautiful woman is like staring at a fake Picasso creation..it has no substance..

i'd say that intelligence is difficult to fake, relative to physical beauty which can be easily masked or enhanced to your liking. so if i am to choose as to which i would prefer to dominate in me, i'd say untelligence for reasons that is very benificial to me like success in career, vocation, or even family or personal life. i believe that wisdom and intelligence and memory are the more desirable assets to help ensure success in this life.

Ah,yes. The age old question. Dementia or Alzheimer's not withstanding intelligence should be more important. All physical beauty fades over the years. None of us look the same at 40 as we did at 20. Neither are we as smart at 20 as we will be a 40. Intelligence rules.

Ok, as you choose Intelligence, I will choose Beauty instead. Beauty makes you feel good and confident in doing things especially in social activities. You don't have to pay for beauty if you are beautiful.

When you're beautiful, "first impression" is your ace in the sleeve. You are assigned default attributes that you can have or not. You are perceived as a nice person and everything is normal. You're not a complex person, on the contrary.Overflow of confidence and get majority support in your activities.Otherwise, people look at you otherwise have answers, otherwise you're perceived by others. You have an advantage that other women do not have it, you do not have to fight to gain their goodwill, it comes naturally. However, things get stuck in a time ... When your beauty is reduced to superficiality. When you are smart, know how to turn things in your favor. Can you juggle with different situations, tasks, troubles, difficulties and do so as things come at a time. You are more powerful than other women,calculate your moves and know clearly what you want out of life.However the simple fact that you learned while you give too much importance not to appearances and put more weight on what the depth. However, things become difficult when you feel like fighting the windmills of a material world, which believes in appearances. Speaking of beauty and intelligence as two independent entities, I think I would choose intelligence.

I like both. My wife's smarter than she thinks and I wouldn't like her just being a pretty face. (I'd grow tired of that) I think it's similar to my wife has she likes it when I think about things more clearly and go as far as I can to avoid certain things which others just let happen :) Hard question :P ~Joey

I think intelligence is important than beauty. It's what inside counts.

MY choose is intelligence, because intelligent women can appear their inside beauty, and the inside beauty is stronger than the outside one, and also stay forever.

I have both. :-) But if I have to choose I'll go for intelligence. I agree with what you said that beauty is temporary. Intelligence is there to stay. Unless you don't have a healthy body and suffer brain damaging diseases. Intelligence is a trait that could be enhanced really fast.

i'd luv beauty with brains....but if i hav to choose i'll choose intelligence...coz its hard for dum people to live in this world...

If only choice, I would choose wisdom, because there is beauty in the short-term, but would wisdom with the passage of time and precipitation will eventually become bright light.

I prefer intelligence by a long shot, however I cannot go with ugly women, I can only be friends. On the other hand if a woman is stupid but beautiful then I have no problem. Her beauty is temporary but so is our time together. Just like a nice cake, you eat it, and not because it is intelligent :) I have a feeling that the more beautiful a woman is, the less she has to think in order to do anything, so when there's too much beauty I am always very careful not to get too caught up in anything.

Both needed. In this century ladies Rules. But Much more intelligence may cause something wrong. I know ladies who do worst things. They need is money only. I don't like those people even if they are male or female.

Well, it's really a dilemma. I think perhaps the intelligence is much more important. As when the time goes by, the beauty will go away and there is no way to stop it. A smart girl can be very attractive. And especially she is smart, she can get away with some bad guys and won't be cheated easily. She can find a right one to be her husband. I think this is the most happiness for all women.

If I had to pick between the two I would certainly choose intelligence. However, if I really had myu choice I would put kindness and compassion at the top of the list. Without either of those a person does not really appeal to me. cheers,

I will choose intelligence...I hate people liking beauty or expecting beauty...It is god's creature that physical appearance cannot be changed...No one should be blamed of less beauty or no beauty...We should only see IQ of them..Of course when you go for an interview or party or any occasions your apperance is appreciated to some extent...But you are being selected only by the IQ you have and how you answer and how smart you behave in some critical situation...I give less importance to my beauty and all..In fact I dont even care for making me beauty and all..:-) good topic to discuss...Cool

Hi, tracy1985! For me, I will choose intelligence. Beauty will not last long but intelligence will be with you forever. I don't want to be a beautiful, sexy lady with no brains. People will look at you amazingly, captured by your beauty for the first time but when they get to know you better and found out that you don't really have what it takes, definitely they won't stick around that long. I do agree, if you are beautiful, it is a bonus for you. But if you are beautiful and smart, it will be more amazing. I don't mind being ugly but not stupid *big laugh*
