Recently I've been noticing that about a week before my menses, I get terrible mood swings and a lethargic feeling. I am bothered by it as I find that I'm more easily irritated. This is a turn off for some people and makes the phase unbearable. At times I just try to be by myself so as to not get into confrontations but that in itself is also a problem. What can I do apart from taking medication? Help me please!

If you figure that out, let me know. lol I get like that too. Everyone that knows me knows when I'm PMSing. It's their choice whether they want to be around me during that time. You could try doing some meditation or Yoga during that time. That would help release some of the stress and everything. Good luck!

Well, if its any consolation most women grow out of it. I did.
In retrospect I have had different symptoms at different times in my life. When I was very young it was the abdominal pains, then later on I had tenderness, now I have the lower back pains. Some months worst than others. I do remember too a time when I would get irritable and bad tempered but I don't think it was such that I ailenated anyone.
I would recommend that if it is severe that you consult a physician and they can prescribe a course of action for you.
