That is just insane! I wouldn't even be able to remember the name let alone write it out in the correct order. Geesh!

I really wonder about parents sometimes. I think they are crazy or high on something! That is ridiculous!

There certainly are parents with strange ideas about today. Some name their children after their favourite team. Some people on MyLot apparently do not have surnames that must be even more confusing to fill out more forms. I have a middle name but do not like it so do not use it very often. It is also odd when the parents don't take notice of what the initials will spell. I had a friend at school that spelled JAM.

omg, why would you do that to your child most people I know dont like there middle name as it is so why give her 25 this is just crazy. There isnt enough room on most forms for the one or two middle names most people get lobbed with. Not my cuppa tea.

On the bright side, they can pick one from the 25 that they like and use only that one.

I find this to be totally ridiculous. I am quite sure the child will never use them all. If I had parents nutty enough to burden me with such a moniker I would legally have my name changed just as soon as I could.

In Mexico, it is not uncommon for children to have a first name plus 10 or 15 middle names plus their last name. It is a mix between their culture and their religion. Many of the names are past relatives and this is a way of recording the family history. There are other cultures that also name their children in similar fashion.
In genealogy (the study of families and their history), your lineage is listed as:
George, son of Henry, grandson of Eric, great-grandson of Mark, great-great grandson of Frederick.............etc.
So your name would be George Henry Eric Mark Frederick (last name). If you know your family, you would know your history and lineage.

Wow...that's umm, I'm speechless!
I have 6 children with a total of 13 first and middle names and that's plenty for me. My oldest son did get an extra name because it was the only way his dad and I could make a compromise on what we each wanted to name him. Dealing with that one extra name is hard enough, I don't even know how 25 extra names could be handled. If a form only gives room for the first name and middle initial I'll hyphenate my son's first name and first middle name and put in the initial of his second middle name. If the form leaves room to write out his full name then I usually put both middle names together on the middle name line. That poor girl will need an entire "middle name page" to write out her whole name...in 15 years when she's finally learned it all!

Wow that is really ridiculous! I cant believe anyone would do that. One middle name is plenty sufficent! Poor girl!! I know that would irritate me if I had that many!

That is ridiculous. I hope they don't have anymore kids because they will run out of names. ;)
My friend has 2 middle names and complains about how much of a pain it is with insurance and credit because some put one middle initial and some use the other. That seems to be really popular lately though.
I couldn't imagine having to explain 25 middle names.

I think it's child abuse and the parents should be forced to fill out all her forms for her for the rest of their lives.

I thought it was bad that I used to have 6 middle names until I changed it 10 years ago!
Having so many so many names is madness...can you imagne the poor soul trying to apply for a passport? I hope I do not cause offence when I say this, but I think that parents should really think about what they are doing when they decide to give thier child so many names.

OMG poor child, this is ludicrous, but very funny at the same time, I have three and forever complaining. When my daughter was born I gave her one name and it was not a traditional family name either. My mom is still mad at me because I didn't stick to tradition.

How dumb can one get...looking at those names it looked like the family was going through their genealogical listing of ancestors and wanted to immortalize them...all the middle names as far as I can tell are last names...My mother's first name had Lee attached to it after my great-grandmother's maiden name--but that was it...Can you imagine the person when she's grown up and has to fill out middle name on forms...it would take forever
