Coleslaw or potato salad, potato salad or coleslaw? Which do you prefer?

Now that it's officially summer, picnic season and backyard barbecues are in full swing. I like coleslaw AND potato salad, but I'm picky about what I want in each. For me, to taste right, coleslaw must be made using Miracle Whip, shredded red cabbage, shredded apple, a little sugar and some shredded carrot. That's the way my mother made it and I miss it. I also miss her potato salad - also made with Miracle Whip. Cubed & peeled boiled potatoes, celery, chopped hard boiled eggs, salt & pepper, sliced red radishes, chopped green onions, cubed & chopped cucumbers, and sometimes she'd add some yellow mustard. (I liked it better without the mustard.) Every now and then, if we didn't have enough green onions, she'd cut up some diced yellow onion and put that in. There were probably other ingredients in both recipes but I don't know what they were since she never told me exactly how she made them. So.. which do you like and how do you prefer it?
