after living in city for a long time and i got into the habit of drinking boiled water and never directly drink water from tab, cause i think it may contains something poinsonous to human body, so i don't usually do that, but when i was in the countryside i usually drink cold water and like to drink. so what's your condition of water in your city? do you directly drink or after boil it?

I have been drinking the tap water right from my birth. I have never faced any problems due to that. Here the underground water has lot of iron, but it is safe as it is filtered and treated several times before supplying to the homes.

maybe the water filtering system in your city is good, i wish i could drink directly from my tab, but the water is not clean enough

we have this Brita, and it somehow purify the tap water so after putting it in brita we can drink it already.

i dont think the waters very good to drink here so i just buy bottled water its very cheap and got a lot more oxygen and minerals in it. boiling the water is ok but it still doesnt taste very nice. theres not much water in my house where i live at the moment anyway as the taps arent working very well i usually have showers at the gym or health centre as my shower heads arent working but now im not a member im making do with the water here

I only boil my water if I'm cooking with it lol. I have a filter on my tap so I usually drink from the tap. I feel safer drinking tap water when there is a water filter on it.

I think it is always safer to drink water after boiling it and also may after filtering it too. Many places especially large cities have this issue with the quality of the water because it may have not been treated well or may be because there is the fear that it may have been contaminated at some point before it reaches your tap.

I am fine with either option but I usually drink boiled water, since tap water usually contains some substances which starts to mess with you if you drink too much (e.g Stomachaches). Of course, it is perfectly safe to drink tap water once in a while in Singapore.. Not sure about other countries, the safer alternative is to always boil the water.

We have a water filter in my house, so we all just drink from the filter and not the tap. We have never boiled water unless a hurricane comes by that does extensive damage to the point of polluting our water. Usually though, my friends who don't have filters just buy water at the supermarket. I don't think I've seen any of them drink straight from the tap.
