Have you ever been Robbed or Had anything stolen?

I had my wallet stolen out of my purse in the grocery store; had a friend steal my wedding rings that I'd put in a drawer after I was divorced; and had 3 birthstone rings "disappear" from my house (they were to go to my 3 granddaughters on their birthdays). Three times in my life isn't bad, I guess.

I've been robbed when I worked at a gas station when I was 22, my car was broken into twice, first for cd's, the second time my cd player (no cd's left) and a month after those happened I moved and two days later my apartment was robbed. But having had a former brother in law that was/is a criminal, he told me back then, every criminal that ever steals something has it come back to him, and they always know that it's because of what they've done to other people. Karma man.

i have been robbed twice...they took some very important sentimental things, they just don't know how much they hurst people....

I hate thefts too. this happende last year on 18th october. we had just shifted to our new home and it was hard getting a maid inour colony. Our colony had a system that if you give your servant quarter the person staying there will do three chores free for you. I was very concious of whom to keep and use to make a lot of enquiry, my hubby had started teasing me that at this rate I will never get a maid for myself. I was patient and looking. Meanwhile my father in law happened to visit us for few days, he also got after me to keep a maid quickly. as the work load had increased I was also eager to keep one. SO one day a lady comes up, before I could ask my questions my hubby says you better keep her, so I didn't enquire much still I refused her once as she didn't had proper papers, but she came back pleading and with the look in my hubby and my father in law's eyes I agreed to keep her. She borrowed some money from us saying she will repay us after ten days as she is completely broke. I could hear warning bells but these to gentleman were too eager for me to have some rest so didn't pay any heed to me. She started working from next day that was 12th october. Me and My father in law had a habit of drinking tea together on our porch daily morning for half an hour. On 18th he was leaving so we finshed up our tea and I became busy in packing his things. He left in the afternoon and I thought to ring up my brother in law to tell him that he has started towards station. Only my hubby had decide to see him off, I stayed back. I looked for my mobile but didn't find it. I thought my hubby took it to station. In absence of landline I could not call him to confirm and he went to the office from the station. At night when he returned I asked him about it he had not taken that, we looke for it everywhere, even serarched maids house but couldn't find it. Irt was a gift from my brother's first salary that fact really pinched me. Any way eight days later maids husband was found trying to steal Ac fom the car of our neioghbours and was taken to police station ther we came to know that these people were regular thieves and she only probably stole my mobile that morning when I had put it for charging on my dresser. I got rid of them both lost some money too.But was saved from something major happening by god's grace.

yes I have. A few years ago my shed was broken into. I had all my kids presents for Christmas out there hiding them for Christmas and someone broke into my shed. The tore the door right off!! Weird thing is, is that they opened the totes they were in, and ripped them all out, and tore all my decorations for the other holidays out of their spot, and just ransacked threw everything, but nothing was stolen. The police said that they were looking for something special and they must have not found it. Weird, but I am greatfull. If my kids gifts were stolen I wouldn't know what to do.

15 years ago, robbers broke into our house and got all our money and my mom's jewelry. but we were still thankful that nobody got hurt,even if they gagged and tied up my parents.

As most people here seem to say, stolen, but not robbed. I lost my calculator. Being robbed can't be nice though.

Someone stole my umbrella once. The worst part is it was from a church.

Robbed.. yes.. I was working at a bar and a guy came in and robbed us right before we closed. Stolen -- yes.. things get taken off our porch all the time, when we lived in an apartment.. someone snatched our grill... we saw him walking down the street with one.. noticed it was ours. Called the cops and my hubby held him til the cops got there.. turned out the guy had been stealing things from the whole apartment complex and sleeping in a vacant apartment.

Yes my home was broken into one year and my computer was stolen,The robbers got away with my CPU and my keyboard but not the rest of it because i returned home while they were in the process of robbing my home.They got away with it the police never did catch them.
