What is your opinion on lingerie shows on airline flights?

I just heard on foxnews.com that an airline in Ecuador is going to have lingerie shows on the flight. It will last about ten minutes and consists of beautiful women going up and down the aisle while in flight in their lingerie. No doubt that the men will enjoy it but I think it is offensive and inappropriate to do on a airline where there are other women and children. How do you feel about this? I think this is outrageous. It could also cause problems on the flight with out of control passengers as well as a distraction to the pilots and flight attendants.

That's crazy. While I'm sure the pilots and crew are professional enough to deal with the distraciton, I think that most women (and some men) on the flight would feel rather uncomfortable, if not outright offended.

A airline is definitely no place for a lingerie show. The airline needs to find better ways to make more money as well as helping those who are afraid of flying. This is offensive and hope that they will be stopped from having this show.

An airline flight is no place for a lingerie fashion show. Who thought of this idiotic idea?

From what I read and listened to, the airline was trying to make more money as well as doing it to help people from being scared of flying. I think that is ridiculous for both reasons. Having this show on an airline will cause more problems than anything.

I agree with you there. If they want people to be more relaxed about flying, have a bingo game or other form of entertainment.

Ken, I must say that is a beautiful quality you have in yourself..in expressing your outrage regarding this matter..
I agree..it's outrageous and showing little consideration for the morals or presence of children on flights..
I hope that people will protest and stop this; if this is at all possible;)+

I think this is wrong. You don't go on a plane to see this. I would say this is going to cause some problems because there will be people that are religious and this will be against their religion. There are women and children that are not going to enjoy this. I wonder if they have really thought about this idea and looked at all angles. Everyone is different and some people may enjoy this, but there might be a lot that won't.

Well if the intent is to relax a people, and I suspected it was, what about the women? What are they planning to do about women? As a woman, the last thing I want to see is other women in skimpy outfits.
This will leave women looking at other women and comparing themselves to these models....Unless they can find a way to relax the whole family, it will fail at least I hope it fails. After all, what does this do for a child who needs to be calmed down? A woman that is upset? etc. Or a gay man even!? No, this is crap plain and simple.
Again, I hope it fails - not so much b/c it parades women around in their "gear" - but because it is a DUMB idea AND it isn't a solution for all parties.

That is certainly no way to entertain people on a flight as well as what you said about the women. I think it will fail because I think they will lose customers by having shows like this on the airline. Fewer women and children will take this flight.

I think having lingerie shows on airline flights is very stupid idea. As decent men and ladies will certainly feel offended esp. if they are with family and kids. Then it will be cause of disattraction on the flight for everyone as flight crew and pilots are also humans too. I feel if they want to rpovide entertainment provide some good relaxing music and food that will be fine.

I don't think it is a good idea at all. Like you said, there are woman and children on most flights and I am sure they don't want to see that. I'm sure my boyfriend would love it as would alot of men, but the passengers aren't all men.

Wouldn't that be offensive to the ladies? And how about the children? Though the models may not be baring sensitive areas, still, appearing in lingeries may be too much for the under-aged.
I do feel that doing it on flights is not very appropriate. You can't even really opt out unless you squeeze your eyes shut or hide ridiculously like a thief in the toilet.

That is crazy. We want to go to airplane. We didn't go to see the fashion show. Why don't they give the lower price for us.

I wonder who had such a "wonderful" idea. No offense meant, but I doubt that it was a woman. An Airline flight has nothing to do with a lingerie fashion show. It won´t make anyone lose their panic of flying, because this is a psychological problem. Not too long ago Air hostesses were considered "easy women". This has changed a lot in Europe, because most companies prefer to hire men now. Reasons: no absense from work because of pregnancies, menopause, a.s.o.
I don´t think it´s fair, but the idea of models walking up and down the "plane catwalk" is outrageous. It´s degrading for women.

I don't think its the greatest idea in the world. I don't care about the adults seeing it or watching the short clips, but your right children shouldn't be subject to it. Heck I'd rather see Bugs Bunny or something of the like being played then that.

Urghh!! This is annoying to me and i personally feel this is an insult to women species. This is gender discrimination and manipulation! No, no... I don't agree to have something like this to be done on an airplane. It's just not suitable at all.

I think it should happen.
That would be something which would make me think twice about who I booked my flights with. (I don't fly) but if I did this would be something I would feel strongly about.
As it isn't the time or the place while flying.

i agree with you. It's stupid and sexists. An airplane is no place for women to be walking around half naked. that does offend me being a woman. I hope that it doesn't last
