What Is Your Favourite *Unique* Pizza?

I'm looking for fresh ideas, new spins on the classics, and just something different! What do you like on your pizza, what was the best you ever had? I enjoy making pizza, and when I do, I usually make several varieties on the same night (the leftovers go in the freezer lol). I always make our favourites, but I also enjoy experimenting, so I'm very interested in knowing your secrets ;)

One of my favorites that I bought had olive oil instead of red sauce and shrimp and scallops with three types of cheese {goat, ricotta and mozzarella I think}. It was very tasty. I like to sautéed onions, garlic and mushrooms and put it on olive oil on the think hand rolled crust with a nice soft mozzarella cheese.

That sounds great! I love ricotta cheese on pizza! My favourite ricotta pizza has the red sauce, then eggplant, semi dried tomatoes, olives, shaved ham, and ricotta. It's very good! Nut I've never tried it with the seafood pizza, I ll definately give it a go :)

It is really good. We used to always buy it at a little wood fired pizza place in Melbourne. The pizza place closed down, so we started making it ourselves! Lol

I don't think it is unique anymore but I have really enjoyed a white pizza (no red sauce) that was topped with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, a little olive oil, roasted garlic and fresh mushrooms. Simple, wonderful.

I love pizza, and make lots and lots of them. I prefere ones mostly with veggies, instead of meats. I like fried eggplant sliced thin and mushrooms with lots of cheese, and a little sauce. Always olive oil dribbled on top.

Oh yes, one like this would have to have the olive oil! It sounds really good. I used to eat at this little cafe where I would order a toasted foccacia with eggplant, mushroom, semi dried tomatoes, and swiss cheese. I think i would add the tomatoes to your pizza too, and I will definately give it a try :) I am actually writing all these ideas down in my notebook that I use in the kitchen Lol

Now this is what I call unique! lol It sounds very unusual, did you create it yourself, or did you get the idea from a pizzeria? It's something I will definately make for my next *pizza party*. I have a lot of vegetarian friends who really love spicy food, so I think it would definately be a hit :) Thanks!

There is this seafood pizza that I just had at "G's" (formerly "Mama Gina's") here in Pittsburgh that I just really dug. It had shrimp, scallops, and crabmeat with some spinach cooked in. Also at the Church Brewworks, they have this Pesto pizza I am fond of-- it has Pine Nuts!

The seafood pizza sounds good, I make a seafood pizza with scallops, prawns (shrimps), diced fish (pink ling), and leek. I might add some spinach next time! :) What else is on the pesto pizza? Are the pine nuts part of the pesto, or sprinkled over the top? Does it have cheese as well, or just the pesto? Thanks :)

Not sure how unique this is. But, I like feta cheese and spinach. It has no tomato sauce. It's pretty good. But, I love feta cheese and spinach by themselves, too.

Spinach and fetta are a match made in heaven! Lol This pizza sounds good..so it is simply spinach and fetta? Nothing else? i'm guessing a little olive oil to dress it at the end of cooking would be a nice addition. Thanks, I'll try it :)
