My neice and sister went fishing today.

She put her car keys in her purse, and locked the purse in the trunk. We ended up taking the seat out, then the purse spilled, and she had to fish the keys out with a coat hangar. What was your worst experience with keys? As a newly wed in an apartment, I consistently let the door shut on my apartment when I went to the laundry room. It locked automatically.

The Worse I have ever done is locked them in the actual Car lol and that was no fun as it was a Company Car and they had to pay for someone to come out and get the Car open lol

Did they catch any fish? I was always bad about locking my car keys inside the car too. My husband had to bring me keys several times when we first got married. He finally had more made and I keep an extra in my purse and my mom has one also. Over the years I have gotten better about this and knock on wood...haven't locked any keys inside in a long time! Hope I didn't jinz myself here...lol.

They were just going to relax, nothing big was biting. Only caught one catfish that would have been big enough. When it was my two kids, and myself and sister we made a set of keys for each person for each car, and then one for the extra key box as well. To me that kind of security was cheap.

When i had my cafe, i needed to go to the loo one morning and dashed out sliding the front door locked without first grabbing my key. I rang a locksmith who eventually turned up. Shortly after getting back in I went to the bank and did the same thing and then I went to the loo again in the afternoon and ...yes, you guessed it, I did it again but I had been clever enough to leave a spare key with one of the other shops as a precaution. It was the locksmith's idea.

It reminds me of years ago, when I worked for Avis. A client, still at the airport, locked his keys in the trunk while putting his luggage in. So off we went, my two drivers and I with a huge toolbox, long wire the whole caboodle. After almost disassembling the darn car, one of the drivers of Imperial car hire (our opposition) came up to see if he can't assist us, he looked around, by now the back seat was almost out! and he pulled a lever next to the driver seat and voilĂ ! there the trunk opened! Needless to say it was hysterically funny. We all just stared at the open trunk, which felt like hours, and then started laughing till tears ran down our cheeks! Believe it or not my husband is the one, who for ever, is locking his keys in one of his work vehicles, (we call it a bakkie) anyway it hasn't got central locking. He always uses that as an excuse! lol!

She had a trunk lever, but it only works if the car is running. She had tried to have keys made, but always went to Wal Mart, and they did not work. We told her to go straight to the dealership and get us a set. Has not happened yet.

Well, about 11 years ago, I packed up my 3 kids and my 2 nephews, that I was keeping for the day while my sister in law and brother in law worked. We got in the car and drove an hour and a half to my mother's house. I got all the baby paraphenalia in the house, got snacks for the little ones, and sat down to visit. Several hours later when we got ready to go, I began to search for my keys so that I could put the playpen back in the car. nothing. james, who was 8 at the time came into the house and said Mom, your keys are hanging in the key thing in the car but I locked all the doors so nobody could steal the car. I had to wait until my sister in law got off work, she drove 30 miles to where my husband was working (We only had one car at the time), pick him up and then drive the hour and a half to Hot Springs to bring his set of keys to open the door. My parents live so far out in the country that it would have cost a small fortune for a locksmith to come all the way out there.

Years ago I locked the doors in my car and left the engine running. thank heaven for coat hangers. The best one was when I took a family group on a little road trip to Pymatuming Pa to see fish and ducks. We couldn't find the keys when it was time to leave. My niece kept telling us she had fed the fishes and they were so cute. My Dad and Brother had to hot wire the car. It was quite an event.
