When my eldest son was a baby, he had a pa band put in place, to restrict the blood flow, because of hid vsds(holes in his heart). I am interested to hear from any adults who have had this done, or perhaps parents of older children, who had this problem as a baby. His band was removed, and all is well, but I'm curious to know if anyone out there had any problems as the grew up, after having this procedure.

well i havent had the same problems or procedures. I was born without a pulmonary artery, amongst other heart defects.
what are do you live in? many places have 100% free summer camps specially designed for heart patients. and its so much fun and the kids really get to make friends and create stronger bonds with kids like themselves.
but i had open heart surgery at 18months and a few times, we've been scared that id have to have immediate surgery, but with good exercise ive postponed that for now and with technology on the rise, they are learning and experimenting with balloning and cathiters to replace OPS so much and its really a huge blessing for a great many of us. UCLA and the Mayo Clinic are working on those right now.
