When one door closes...three more open??? Well I certianly hope that's true! I put my two week notice in last night at Wal-Mart. My last day is July 5th. I'm excited about leaving that company finally but I don't have another job lined up yet and that makes me nervous. I know I could easily get one at McDonald's or at a temp agency but I want something better. I've got two weeks vacation pay coming too so that will help out. Please wish me luck and I need plenty of prayers to find a job that I'll like and that the pay is decent. Thanks :)

Dont worry, things will definitely turn out for the good. You feel excited of leaving your present company, which means you are not at all happy with it! Whether you found a new job or not, there is a no point of continuing in a job which does not give you happiness, right??? As you said, when one door closes another one opens...Opportunities will not come to you, you have to be in search of them. So, just go out and definitely, you will find something. Just make sure that you never lose your positive attitude in case things dont work out the way you want... To be positive is very important to succeed in life....Wish you all the best !

I've heard a saying similar to that--and I do send prayers your way that you'll find a great job that you'll love doing and for great pay... (((Hugs and luck to you)))

Good luck. I hope you find something that is better suited for you and you like. That is the way my husband and I feel after he lost his job a week ago. We are hoping its a blessing in disguise. Heres hoping on to bigger and better things for both of our families.

I hope things work out for you. I have to say that I bought a house while working as a temporary worker a few years back. It is good work. I just got off a job of 4 days that paid me 9 dollars an hour. I am not fussing. I do wish you much luck I am not one to tell that 3 more doors open since I just lost all I was and had in a housefire. It remains to be seen how things work out. Prayers are indeed with you.

Yes i also think the same, when one door closes another 3 open up. We should never accept defeat in our life. Stopping to work hard is the greatest and real defeat. You should try and try, and that will keep the spirit of winning alive. And thats proved by whatever happened to you. Congratulations on your job, so it well and wholehartedly. Wish you lots of increments and bonuses in your new job!

Good luck! I recently quit my job of 8 1/2 years so that I could move across the country with my fiance. The day we were loading the U-Haul, I got a phone call from a company to arrange an interview after I arrived. I interviewed a few days after we got here, and they offered me a job 2 days later, so that I could start the next week. A lot of my friends and family were really worried about the fact that I was moving across the country without a job (or apartment) lined up, but everything worked out nicely!

I am so glad that things worked out so well for you! I am hoping I can get that lucky too :) I've been at Wal-Mart for seven years...it seem so weird that I won't be going there again to work. But I'm happy about that. Thanks for the luck :) I'll need it.

Good luck to you. I know how you feel about wanting to leave a certain job and not have another one lined up. You'll be ok and hopefully you'll find exactly what you're looking for. Good luck.

Thank you. It is a bit nerve racking but I think I've got a job lined up. One of the managers at Wal-Mart that I love has a daughter in law who is the store manager at Pier One. I'm suppose to go tomorrow to fill out an application :) She said she's very interested in me. So as long as we can get the schedule and pay straight I should be good!

You are very brave to take this step of faith. And because of that as you yourself have said, when one door closes...three more opens. And I'm reminded of the line in the movie Sound of Music, when the Lord closes a door, sometimes He opens a window. Good luck. And with your attitude of being open to working at McDonald's if need be, you will do fine. God Bless You dear.

Your proberve help to become less nervous when I will loose my job. I also heared that when 1 door close 3 door open. There is another proberve that "misfortune never comes alone" and even when "misfortune or danger step to door, love fled away through window" so when misfortune will reach to you all doors will close. Though thanks for bringing some ray of hope for you that you will get 15 days pay, in our country when we loose job it happen by serving one month notice and after one month work we cannot join this job. Job is also scarce here, so we become more nervious and worried when we loose job.

I don't get 15 days pay but only 8 but that's two weeks for me at my current job. Good luck on all future endeavorers :)
