Of course it's not fair. Any other regular person would have gotten a lot longer for doing what she did. What makes the whole situation funny is that by giving her so much media attention over the whole jail thing is that she is getting what she wants. She's in the spotlight again for doing something bad.

I think she should have been in jail much longer. So what if she has a lot of money. What did she do to become famous? She doesnt sing or anything, she isnt an actor... It seems as though all she has done is make a show that shows the whole world how dumb she is.

i think so too, I think that this should be a wake up call for all celebrities who think they can get away with anything

I think she hasn't served her jail time fairly because she had her sentence cut down because she was a celebrity. I think everyone should have the same punishment, no matter if they are a celebrity or not.
I don't think punishments should change for anyone, because we are all human and deserve the same punishment for the same crime.
I don't think shes learnt her lesson because after all she was put a separate cell because of being a celebrity, and that isn't fair because a normal person who has commited the same crime would be put in with everyone else and have the full sentence to serve.

I think taking her publicity away would go further in teaching her the lesson that she shouldn't be treated special because she is a celebrity, but putting her in with the other inmates would have endangered her life because she is a famous celebrity. Its true that you or I would be put in with the general population, Her sentance was too lenient and I'm sure it was because of her celebrity status. But to endanger her life in the general population, even though she did actually endanger others lives by driving ddrunk, would be unnecesarily cruel. The brat acts the way she does for the attention and fame. If we just ignore her, maybe she will go away. That would be the best punishment.

im completely agree with you. they should have let paris stay with the other inmates, how could she learn if they will put her in a different cell?all the wealth may be taken away for a month, maybe thats enough punishment for someone like paris but i think putting her with other inmates and let her see what really goes on in jail, maybe then she'll learn. I think she learned a different lesson for this and that is when your famous and rich, youll get to have you own cell and not to mingle with other inmates.

No,I dont' think so at all. If it had been anyone else, she would have been thrown in jail and the key thrown away.

Considering my sister had a serious car accident 5 years ago and suffered brain damage I think anyone who does not take driving seriously shouldn't be allowed to ever drive again. Would anyone feel bad for Paris if she injured or killed someone else in her carefree lifestyle she was leading.
I hope that she has honestly learned something from this experience and that it will be her wake up call.

i know it. I bet if she had of seriously hurt someone, she would have gotten a lenient sentence. I hope she learned her lesson but i doubt it

What I dont understand is why she was driving in the first place. If I was rich like that, I would have someone driving for me and would get as drunk as I wanted to. But that is just me.
No I dont think she sat enough time. I think she is spoiled rotten, and for her to get off so easy sucks.

I do not think anything about it was fair. Her sentence was too light to begin with then she had all the special privileges while she was in there, The way I see it, she really was not even in jail..No celebraty gets the sentance that you or I would get.

well ..i would say its was nt fair .. well . its a normal thing .. famous celebrities get away with things easily . thats one big advanatge of being a celeb .. if she was some other normal person . then .. it would have been different.. i dont think . the jail term would have been that short then

Of course she deserves her time in jail, if any one of us did what she did as many times as she has done it then we would accept our punishment, just because she is rich and famous she doesn't get different laws from the rest of us! I just can not believe that people are sticking up for this person, what would you do if your child was walking down the road and she lost control of her car because she was drunk and she killed your child???? If they dont get her under control and the many other celebrities that think they are above the law some innocent person is going to be killed.... and will you stick up for them then???

I think that if someone has a jail sentence that short, which repeat drunk drivers should not in my opinion, they should not have their sentence shortened. It was shortened by 1/2. I really don't know if someone would change knowing that if they are okay in jail they will get out on good behavior.
Definitely doesn't set a good example.

Well it depends on what you mean by being fair. if you are talking about breaking the law and being found guilty in a court of law and then sentenced, then it is absolutely fair. After all, all other people who commit the same offense woud be sent to jail anyway. if it is because she is a celebrity and should be treated like a person above the law....... All I am saying is it seems it is quite fair.

Yes. I think that just because she is a celebrity, it should not effect the judicial system. I'm not happy that she received special treatment in prison, but at the same time, I can understand why they did it. I don't dislike Paris, but I feel that the crime she committed was potentially very serious...so many people are killed by drunk drivers every day. But, she served her sentence, she handled it in true Princess Paris style, and the press had a field day. And let's face it, we all watched it. Lol
