300 million year old creature, an aphrodisiac?!!

*This very ugly creature is 300 million year old(14 - 18 inches) and has no jaws and only one nostril. It is essentially blind, it dwells in the dark more than 1,000 feet down.
*it is called "hagfish" a bottom feeder which can turn a five-gallon bucket of seawater into a pool of goo. It slimes its enemies, has rows of teeth on its tongue, and it feeds on the innards of a rotting fish by penetrating any orifice.
It is considered an aphrodisiac in South Korea, in which it is cooked and served on a plate - also known as 'slime eel'.
I think this fish is very well harvested from the sea but experts worry cause it doesn't reproduce quickly, and thus giving threat to its species.

What a creature. I didn't see it niether in the news or at tv. Maybe it's true? or did yuo see it in a news papaer because most of the stories are just lyes for them to make money. I will search and see it myself. Thanks for the news :D.

i have just read it from yahoo, and it is quite surprising, shocking and alarming as well as you go over, since this creature's reproductivity is low and the harvest is high, so the result is much probably the loss of its species, i think it hasn't been proven yet but many Koreans proved it by experienced, just stick to what you are more in believe, thanks..good!!^^

That's interesting. Is the fish tasty? It kinda acts like our catfish here in the U.S., which taste very good. But, it's probably not really an aphrodisiac and it's all in people's minds whether or not it is. If they look like they are going extinct, then they should either be farmed or not harvested.

i just don't know the taste but it is prepared i think with sesame oil, i think it gives energy like oysters,
it taste like maybe that of an ordinary eel, but imagine 300 million year old creature, hmmm, i mean it stays here for that very long year - its species, it should be banned (the harvesting of such creatures), i just got it from yahoo and want to share to all of you, thanks...good!!^^
