How many TV's do you have at Home?

At home we only have one. It's a cool flat 37 inch LG. It's perfect and allows all kind of devices. We chose to only have one because we think that when there are too many tv's people end up being in different rooms and we don't talk anymore. If there's only one TV, one day you watch what you want and others you just have to negotiate LOL. I think it's better this way.
How many TV's do you friends got at home? many? what do you think about this issue of having a lot of tv's at home?

I have two, but one is really old and barely works, so nobody uses it. Some of my friends have more TVs than people in their house! I dont get why they would though.

WE actually have 3. I"m not a big fun of tv but hubby and the kids are and there were always so many disagreements over what to watch. THe funny thing is that since we have more TVs we actually watch more stuff together - a contradiction I know LOL.
Sometimes we are spread out in the different tv sets, but not so much that we don't spend time together so in the end it turned out not to be a problem.
SOme series we all like to watch so we stay in the living room and watch together. When we rent videos we also watch them together.

At first I though it might not be such a good idea, I felt that everyone will retreat into it's own tv room and stay there forever, but it turned out differently. SOmetimes only the living room tv is on for almost a week, specially when some series that we all enjoy are on.

I have two tv's in my home. One is kept in the sitting lounge, and the other is kept in the basement below. I dn't think its quite a serious issue as u thinking. It actually hepls. When most of the family members want to wtch a certain show on tv, and u feel like wtching smthng else, then there's is another tv on which u can wtch ur favorites, u dn't hav to frown and bash up ur door!!! Nd it helps me a lot,coz my family n me have quite different interest while wtching tv...

hmm.. we have one in the sala set and one in the room so two television sets. I like watching in the sala set and sit comfortable. Our tv is not that cool like yours. Its not a flat screen and I envy you for that hahaha! just kidding. I love TV and the shows on it. I think TV is like my computer, necessity in my everyday life. =)

Technically we have three, but one is not hooked up to television cable. It is solely used for DVD's and VHS tapes. It is in a little crawl space my kids use for sleepovers so they can watch movies in there.
Other than that we have two hooked up to cable. One is part DVD player and has a VHS hooked up to it, the other only has a DVD player hooked up to it. My two kids have totally different interests so we need a separate tv for my 10 year old who still watches cartoons that no one else wants to watch.

We have two TV's in our house, but there is only two of us, so that is plenty! Usually we do watch TV together, but it is nice to have the option of two if there are two different things we want to watch. One TV is in the living room and one in the computer/guest room. Mostly, we watch the one in the living room together, since there is only one chair from which you can see the one in the computer room.

at home, we have 4 units. Each room has their own, we have 3 rooms and 1 in the living room. Our purpose for having 1 Tv in each room is to avoid argument between us on what is going to watch. But whenever we want to bond, we all watch TV in the living room. Mostly, we only watch TV in our room at night before sleeping. But during the day or early at night before dinner, we watched at the living room and have some little talks.

it avoids arguements and it eludes conversation too...but anyway it's a matter of tastes i guess. thanks joodz.

TV..hmm, let me see..we have one each in every room plus one at the family areas so its 4 altogether. We dont have trouble talking to each other at home cause everyone watch at their own room. It more like .. the family area tv was equipped with cable tv while the rest doesn't. My room tv is more for watching dvd/cd and some indonesia channel without attaching to any antenna. It the location and position of the tv in the rooms that make it reads the signal of other countries nearby tv station. Actually, having a lot of tv in one house do have advantage. No quarrel over who holding on to the remote control and what favourite program of one that everyone must watch. Of course the negative part is lack of communication among the family as everyone is engaged to their own tv. Nevertheless, its better to be quite than to quarrel over a tv program. Not worth it.

well i suppose that it's not too bad the way you got it. It's when i hear about 4 tvs in a small flat when i get a bit freaked out LOL.

yeah, it's good for watching what you want...but it keeps people separated from each other...i don't really like that...

My wife and I only have one television also; we live in a pretty small apartment so there is no need for more than one television.
I like that idea. My wife and I always have to "negotiate" and interact with each other to pick what we're going to watch on television. It does encourage, at the very least, human interaction. I wouldn't mind having a number of televisions in the house; not too many, but a few just in case.

Well, we only have one as well - and that's how it's going to remain!!! Neither of us are great TV watchers, and neither of us want to watch TV in bed - just doesn't seem right to me, - so we have one in the lounge, and that's all. And I know some people think it's a ittle strange, but sometimes we can go for days without even turing that one on. As you say, watching TV all the time can kill conversation and make you nothing more than robots gawping at a blank screen and never communicating at all - not a good idea! Cheers.

WE have 3 televisions sets. One in the living room, one in the upstairs room and one in my bedroom. However, I got rid of the one in my bedroom and put it in my parent's room because it just distracts me. I also read that it is bad in fung shui and emits negative enegry. LOL!

hehehe, then im glad you got rid of it....i know it's tempting to have one everywhere, but in the end you end up not doing anything apart from watching tv, and that su*ks.

we have four tvs at home. not all are always used to save up for the electric bill. i do not why there are lots of tvs here. but in my opinion i think it would be great to only have one tv like yours to save up electricity and to have more quality time with the family.

yes sometimes they are really used only at a time so we don't really need too many television sets at home haha! :)
