When I was in my twenties & my thirties I was in many a protest carrying banners. I ued to go on protests over nuclear energy & education cuts. Usually we would start our protest at Victoria Square, & then march dow King William Streeet to our Government house. All the traffic would be mucked up, as this is the very centre of our city & very busy. When we got to the government, we would climb on the steps & shout slogans & listen to speeches. I haven't been in a protest march fopr many years, although I could be tempted to go in an Education cuts protest.

I've only ever been on one march in my life and that was with my ex, I went because the march was protesting against the war in Iraq and against Blair and Bush sending our men out there to be slaughtered, I had a sign saying Peace not War very 60s LOL!

I am from Karachi, Pakistan. Here we are facing numerous problems and the concerned authorities are do not paying any attentions. For this reason there are protests here everyday(in a signifacant number). I have been in a number of them. I think the Individual and collective social problems cause everyone to walk and march in protests.

No. However I saw a lady on TV today carrying a sign that I would be proud to carry.

No, I will never carry a sign protesting anything. But I would carry a sign in favor of something. Years ago, they asked Mother Thearsa to march against the war(Viet Nam I think). She refused, but said, when you have a march for peace, I will be there. There is a big difference in how to go about changing things.
