In my opinion the movies suck. They don't do much justice to the books. I'll rather read the books.

Much agreed the books just are so much more. The movies leave to much out and form almost a new concept.

Yeah and when they try to change it and form these new concepts it just makes the storyline look bad.

The Harry Potter books out shine the movies any time. Yet the movies in themselves are good. If you have never read the book and watch the movies then they are great. But if you are unlucky/lucky enough to read the book first than it is not good. It does an injustice to the book. Either that or we have read the book and been so mystified that when we go to see the movie it can't be better than the book. Plus after reading the book we already know what happens in the end.

Both! Sorry but I can't choose between the two. As with all books that have been made into movies. I always like to read the book first. Then I watch the movie. 9 times out of 10 the book is always better. When they make the movie so much gets left out. Now don't get me wrong there have been times were the movie ended up being better than the book. But most of the time it is the opposite way around.

I enjoyed both. On movie I can see an amazing view and effect. But reading can tell much more story than the movie

Book or movie? Neither!! Because Harry Potter is so popular, I'm not interested. I'm never interested in things that are extremely popular. I'm not that interested in the Da Vinci code either. If something is all the rage, I will stay away from it.

Why would you stay away from something just because it is popular? I don't read or watch the book/movie because it is popular I read it because I am interested in it. The only reason why I love the HP books is because I read them to my kids when they were younger. I saw how much joy it brought thee. Just because something is poplar doesn't mean you should shun it. Most of the time it is popular because it is good. If you try it you might find you like it.

I usually read the book before watching the movie.
I enjoyed reading HP coz it wilden my imagination.
In HP movie, there are lots of deleted scenes on it. Probably because it will take them ages to shoot the detailed book..:)
So, better read and watch HP!

I first watched the movies until just recently. I really liked the movies however the books do have so much more. I really enjoy reading but didn't both with the books until I had nothing to read and I grabbed one from my daughter. I am now on a waiting list to get the final book at the end of the month. But the movies are good for those who are not readers.

I hear everyone saying the books are alot better than the movies but i prefer to watch the movies so i can visually see what is going on and not have to worry about reading it.Also im not that much of a reader so the movies work for me alot better than reading
