I'm not very skilled when it comes to playing instruments...I dated a guy once yrs ago who tried to teach me how to play guitar but I just couldnt get the hang of it LOL I would love to learn how to play piano though...For the most part though, I'm more of a physical/movement type person...I'm far more skilled at dancing then I am playing an instrument by a long shot!

I played flute all through middle school and high school. I still have my flute but haven't played in a very long time. One day I'm going to take it and have repairs done and start playing again so I can teach my daughter how to play when she's older.

I used to play the Clarinet back in high school. But that was 10 years ago and I haven't picked it up since. As far as learning how to play it. There are plenty of instructional books that teach you the different keys and how to play it. Are you looking to learn an instrument? What instrument?

...i have learned to play the drums by myself...but in high school i was member of our school's drum and bugle chore..i played tom tom..the snare and started playing the base and the snare..and eventually when i started playing the drum set..i found out that the beat is quite same of that instruments i have been playing in high school..but i did not depend on that totally, i also did some researches in the internet and got some information, especially the basic beat of rock and roll...and in my previous work, where we have a choir, i have been given the chance to experience playing this instrument...and their i have been given some tips by experienced drummers on what to hit, how hard to hit, when to hit and how to hit...so i would have to say that experience would be the best teacher that you would have when you're up to something, especially when it comes to like playing musical instruments.... .....while i was in the seminary, i was also inclined in playing the piano...but i had stopped in just knowing the basics... ...in my elementary years, i have learned to play guitar with my best friend...we have our own guitar.. and we solicited for tips from those who have been playing the guitar...and what i have learned in here was that learning would be lot more interesting if you have someone to ask, learned with, then mostly the interest and the resources.

I play guitar and piano, and learnt the drums breifly. I learnt guitar through a teacher during my school years but found it easier to learn through ear for the piano. The best way is to learn the basics from someone lese or a teacher and then teach yourself the rest.
