What can we do to care about the wandering cat?

Omg... what kind of people... like to eat cats... they are such cute animals , i love them very much , and why do they even give poisoned food, well only an animal protection organization can help save these poor animals, other u can do is take these cats to your home or shoo them away from the poisoned food or tell your friends to take these cats to their homes too. Poor cats.

Yeah! That is really common in some places around the world. Many lost or strayed animals, which include cats, dogs, etc., are roaming around the streets. Unfortunately, some people used to kill these animals and tried to sell their meat for food purposes, which is not appropriate. These animals should be cared and protected. They should be treated as a pet. On the other hand, some countries have already implemented a law on this matter. Actually, here in the Philippines, it is illegal to kill animals like dogs or cats just for food purposes and some endangered species as well. By the way, what country are you Amber? I am new here. It is shocking and terrible that people would want to eat cats. Cats are such beautiful animals. My neighbor took in a stray cat that was always hanging around our townhomes. He lets the cat in at night and feeds it and waters it and lets it out during the day since he is an outdoor cat. We can either take the cat in on our own and take him or her to the vet for shots and treatment or just leave it alone. We should not eat it or poison it or anything like that.

i wish more people would spay and neuter there pets that would help another thing is not to treat them like they are disposable they have feelings too i am so disgusted with people who make their pets everybody elses problem if u give a home to a stray or even a shelter pet that is a lifelong committment not one to relinquish when the pet is no longer wanted or becomes a nuisance. having a pet is a long time committment so take it seriously. as for wandering pets cant some 1 start like a feral cat rescue spay and neuter them and keep them in like colonied with certain caregivers who will give them the care and love they so desperately need. spay and neuter them and keep them together how hard is it to take care of them my advice is to find a reputable vet and maybe he could lower his prices for these special cats and get a vet possibly who would do it out of the corner of his heart those kind of people should be respected and shown there appreciation dont u think?

Wow I love cats and can't believe people want to eat them. I have heard of it but... Where country are you in. I am in Canada that has the SPCA which is an organization for the protection of animals. If some people were doing that here they would be fined or even go to jail. I have many stray cats that come around here. People even drop off unwanted kittens here knowing they will be looked after. I have 3 that are my own but there are several here we feed and try to help. Good luck this is so sad.

I have four cats of my own that needed homes so I feel for wandering cats. Though if you're a person who does not want more cats than you can only do so much. I do not think owners should abandon their pets. Instead, the should find a no-kill shelter or a friend who would give the animal a good home to send that cat to. That would be better for everyone in the long run.

u know wat?? bettr leave dose cats alone dese animals know how to fend for thremselves and rhier young, they r amde for dat living alone in hostile places... eolution!!

Here in Singapore we have the SPCA to keep cats off the streets and find them proper homes, and people can get fined for abusing or killing stray animals because it's really cruel. I think you should give some feedback to your town council or local authorities to establish some laws on this and punish those heartless owners and killers.

i dunno why people would want to eat them...it's plain cruel...i just have a cat but i have a dog..and if that happend to him...i would go mental and would be angry..

i also have a cat named Menggay.. i miss my cat as I left her with my family because I need to go to work
