We heard global warming in news and we have seen this problem in our own place.
Tempreture has risen, climate getting funny. Sometime raining season comes in a strange time, so does snow.
I dont think I did much. But I always recycle. I use a piece of paper at least twice, front and back page. Try my best to recycle paper and plastic too.
I grow trees, at least I have them 'eating' carbon dioxide that I produce everyday. Hope I can do more in the future.
How about you, please share if you do anything? or you are planning to do something?

Mother Earth is precious and we should be doing our all to protect it and help it so that one day our children have a better place to stay. Yes! I do what I can... we try and save water, we recycle paper, at home and at work. I teach my kids to leave a picnic spot looking better than when we got there and not to litter, at home or out and about. It is very important. I also grow trees and try and put back into the soil what we take out. It is not easy but it is important.
We had snow last week that we never experience except on the higher mountain ranges. Yes! Global Warming is not a myth, it is for real and we all need to do our part to try and make mother earth better than we are doing now.

for sure it is real every car exhaust is testament to that. Also is the carbon dioxide breathed out by every car driver whist they spend their time defending their right to drive, lol

Hi there. Here in NZ we recycle everything, from scrap metal, to rubber, plastics and paper and card board, to car batteries and computer hardware... We recyle the lot and every thing is sorted and allocated into its proper bins, like plastic bottles, bottle caps, containers and bags, papers and cardboards, metals and aluminium, and clothes and green waste... Our town and most of all our beach is really respected and looked after by all of the community, in some places here, they are not even aware of whats going on around them and also what they could be doing to contribute to the survival of our mother earth...

I had a solar and wind powered home that I just lost to fire. I will build again and it will be another earth bermed solar and wind powered home. One dedicated line for the computer of regular electricity. We garden and eat as fresh as we can. I preserve all I can. We too were planting trees and will do so again. We have a compost pile so that not so much goes to the landfill. That is about it for me.

Yes, we all need to do our part to save Mother Earth! I recycle grocery bags by either taking them back to the recycle bin at the grocery or using them as trashbags rather than buying trashbags. I recycle newspaper and print on both sides of my paper. (If we had recycling centers in my town for glass and plastic, I would LOVE to recycle them as well.) We have planted several trees in our yard. Hubby and I commute together downtown to our places of employement despite the fact that on most days one of us has to wait on the other for their workday to end. If I use my oven to bake, I bake extra items for future use and freeze them. I dry clothing outdoors whenever possible rather than use my clothesdryer.

I always turn lights off when leaving a room, changed most of our light bulbs to the flouro type, recycle our sons bathwater and only use our air conditioner/heater for short periods of time during the day. That's some of the things, but I'm sure there are more things that we don't even think about.

We recycle everything. I have changed all my lightbulbs to the energy efficient ones. If I can I walk where I need to go. I try to make of point out of using recycled packaging and such. We use a push mower instead of gas powered one.

It is really alarming. The climate is really acting strange. some places it is heavily raining, some places it is too hot and humid and more.. i would love to plant trees and help the environment but in this country (UAE), planting is just a dream. I try to not waste anything by reusing the covers etc. What are the other things that a general man can do for contributing help to this global issue.

You can do many things my friend. I recycled paper etc. Some responses here say we can use solar panel (good for UAE people I think), wind electricity generator, use hybrid car, etc. Also we can buy shares of company that concern about environment, when we support the company then it means we support the effort to keep this world green!

i do a lot of recycling too. i compost the kitchen waste, and use the compost in my plants. i grow veggies in pots, our place is not big so i have to improvise. we do have two dwarf coco tree, lots of benefit you can get from coconut, and a lychee, which is not bearing any fruit, its hot in here, not suitable for lychee, and of course, our dinner, veggies from my garden. great ! right! beside consuming the carbon dioxide we are exhaling, i could eat my plant too!

It is really strange to experience very soon about the global warming. People really needs to be aware of what happening to our surroundings. Each one of us can start to help our Mother Nature. I do the separations of our trash at home. I just put 3 sacks naming for Dry, Wet and recyclable Cans and Bottles. We sell those bottles. It can lessen our waste, right.

I don't think a lot of people give a damn about this, but I'm not such a man, though I'll agree people are not to blame entirely for this, because the reason behind it is, that either these cleaning-the-air solutions they're told are too impractical or they wholly don't know what to do about it. I mean, they tell us to stop using CFC-containing things and stop using pollution-creating fuels for cars but dammit, that's what you produce!! Stop producing it and we'll stop using it! Still, I think each one of us could do a lot and what you've done sounds amazing. In the future, I'm thinking of doing something to make recycling and reuse more effective and optimal in my country as in Pakistan, it's not up to any large scale.
Note: I heard stopping the usage of a single polluting car is better than planting 70,000 trees! It's true. I guess we should all quit our vehicles and resort to donkey-carts as a means of transport.

Is it true that stop using a car is better than planting 70,000 tree? this new for me. It is hard to stop using a car espacially when we have a family.
But I know that in Brazil they used ethanol as a car fuel. I heard that ethanol is good, it comes from sugar cane and produces less carbon dioxide compare to petrol. Also, I wish one day I can buy a hybrid car which is cheap and enviro-friendly..

Well, i have planted trees, given up my smoking habbit and, most importantly of all, do not drive a car. If we all stopped driving our cars the problem ends

I think I do lots - except there is one thing i won't give up!
I don't have a car and I either take the bus or cycle to work and into town.
BUT I do fly quite often and I'm not going to give that one up.
I have recycled for years - even before our council made it compulsory. I don't buy things i don't need and I give unwanted clothes and household items to charity shops.
I buy second hand books or borrow them from the library.
I don't have any appliances on standby in my house and I print double sided whenever possible.

First we reduce what we use and reuse, like you using paper over again, finding another use for something before throwing it out etc. We make sure to turn off lights and use those florescent energy saving blubs. We recycle cans bottles, plastic bags, paper, cardboard etc. We compost our food waste. We are vegetarians so there is a bit. We grow veggies ourselves and plant trees near our house. We walk when we can and I have a car that is good on gas. Hang clothes out on a line when we can. Most importantly I teach my childern how to do this so that it will continue as a normal habit in their adult years. Though I would love to live even more green I do what I can with the money I have.
