i just ghot a mail from microsoft saying i won 250,000$ is it a scam???

i just received a mail today morning a mail from microsoft saying that my ID has been selected in the top 10 lucky accounts.I wonder how much of it is true. I am really excited though because of tyhe money i am getting but just asking u guys if u have faced such a problem like this or the same mil.Tel me is this a SCAM?????

Why on earth would they give you 250,000 dollars for doing nothing for them? They don't have any raffle or contest right now. And you did not enter in any contest. That is big money. Too good to be true. Be careful, it might be a scam. If it is true, good for you.

thanks for the advice but thats not the case.My account is an 8 year old account with hotmail probably one of they few thousands of customer so they have decided to give their 10 lucky oldest customer this prize.Anyways lets hope for the best.They are asking certain details of mine and they say they will be sending me a DD in 2 weeks of time.

My friend, these emails are scam. I am also receiveing these type of emails everday. But check the mail address. Its not an official microsoft site.

just don't believe in such kind of things, i've got regularly 3 or 4 such mails a day, requesting my permission, but i don't find any reasons why they pay so many. if you are really awarded, try to get positive ids and phone numbers and relevant information, you will get to know it is true or not!

I really hpoe it's true. I have heard people winning $10,000 from microsoft but never 250000. Call microsoft and find out if anythiung like that has happen and if it is true congrats, comeback and contribute to my college fund.http://www.squidoo.com/collegefund
