I'm wondering why people persist in buying and driving those big gas guzzlers? It costs over $100 to fill the tank, when you could get there in a Green car for way less money. Toyota builds a smaller van that gets 36 miles/ gal and is safe to drive. My Toyota van traveled 2000 miles on $160.00 worth of gas this spring.Thats a lot cheaper than flying! So what do you drive? Are you happy with the milage? What kind of car will you buy next?

Right now I drive a little pick up truck, it gets about 20mpg which is better than most trucks and about as good as I could especially since it's 15years old. I'm really not sure what I'll do when I buy another car in a year or so, but I'll consider gas mileage.

Gas mileage is important and so are the emmissions. Maybe you will buy a Green truck next time!

I would buy a hybrid, but they're not the best for mountains, and I won't be able to afford a new car, much less the extra money for hybrid when the truck needs replaced.

I no longer have a car as I was in a horrible accident not too long ago. But the next car I do get, I'm going to be kind of picky. I used to have a Mitsubishi Eclipse, that got 40 mpg, and I need that kind of mileage with gas costs. I would really like to have a hybrid car.

I just want a car with a back window that winds up! mine doesn't wind all the way up. I also need a cd player and I really hope my next car has air conditioning because it gets sooo hot here in australia in the summer time. I hopefully will ne getting a new car next year but it definitely will be a fuel efficient car as the fuel prices are ridiculous and are probably only going to rise.

Ooh! so you're down under! I'm wondering if there are any American cars on the roads there? The Japanese are making the most popular cars here in Canada.I have a Toyota Matrix (thats a small van) and I love it.

My current Hyundai Excel I am happy with. Its used and is a 97 model, and I am very happy with the fuel consumption of the car. In fact I find that my brother is paying 3 times as much for petrol each month with his car than compared with mine and we roughly drive about the same miles.

The American auto companies are in trouble because the Japanese and Korean's have been making a better car for years. I wouldn't buy an American car for that reason. Thanks

I am in Europe and I pay eight dollars for a gallon of gas. Last year I bought a Seat Ibiza and I am happy with the mileage. It is the size of a four door VW Golf. And it is made by VW but more sportish. I really do not understand the Americans who riot when they pay three dollars for one gallon and then they decide on the gas guzzeling SUVs. Yesterday I saw a Chrysler Sebring in the street and took a look at it. Bigger on the outside than my car but so small inside. It only seats four, mine 5. I can fold my backseat down and have an instant wagon. What a waste of space that uses too much gas is an American car.

Everything is too big in America! It doesn't make any sense to complain about the price of gas and buy a Hummer.....There are absolutely no American cars in Asia, only Japanese and Chinese. The American autos are not clean enough to come up to the Asian enviromental standards.

Hello bearhugs, I want a Hummer but I want to super size it, make it a limo. Hahaha Just kidding! I would like to see about getting a hybrid, my wife and I were thinking about both of us getting each hybrids. and forgo the pump. I hate to see all the guzzlers on the road, I look at the future and say I don't want it getting hotter (greenhouse effect) I would like to have an electric car, one that drives on batteries, unless you go over 35mph then you would be driving on ethenol. That would be my alternative choice. Peace, Totty
