how do you promote your blog

i use free click exchanges, traffic sites, and then i use points i get for clicking on ptc sites to get ad space. i also type in frree classifieds and try that way. what do you do. i have found some good places to get traffic they are listed on my blog as well as other great sites. www.signmeup1.blogspot.com. i was just wondering what everyone here does to get there sites, blogs, etc out there.

Go to other blogs that are of similar interest and comment on their blogs entries. After you do that, if you can, leave the link to your site. This will help get more traffic to your site or blog as well. Try directories that are free(there are tons!) to also help a little more. This will help boost your page ranking on search engines as well. Also, make sure you have revelant keywords listed on your site. Even posting comments in your own blog section and linking a relevant site or blog will help drive in traffic, as when someone searches for say, golf, and golf.com is in your blog, your page ranking will move up on major search engines. I hope I wasn't too confusing, but those are some basic methods I use to promote my 10 sites :D I have 1 blog, and it gets a huge amount of traffic and I started out doing just what I basically told you.
