Why do angels always have blonde hair?

Every angel figurine that I see in stores these days has blonde hair.
This makes no sense.
Considering that most people consider their own personal guardian angel to look similar to them.
And, not everyone has blonde hair or is caucasian.
What about people that live in Asia or Africa?
Are these people that manufacture angel collectibles trying to tell us that angels are not for everyone? Where's the diversity in angels? And, why would they necessarily be white or have blonde hair? Who's to say that angels don't have the same diversity as the human race.

Angels are diverse. I tend to think of angels with blonde hair and blue eyes, but so do I. I believe angels are similar in nature and physical appearance as the person who believes that angels exist.
From the artist point of view, going out on a limb here, it is perceived that with blonde hair that heavens light radiates through more easily, helping to wash the skin tones out giving more of the bleached out white glow.

You are right, those artist depictions can seem very exclusive. Just as all the pictures we usually see of Jesus are very exclusive. It does not represent reality. Oh, and in the Christmas pageants when I was growing up, Mary was always a blue eyed blonde. I can highly recommend the artistic depictions in a magazine called."Angels on Earth", I receive it as a gift. I do not picture angels at all,as they are a creature of spirit, and can be whatever or whoever they need to be. I do agree with you, though, that these artistic depictions and even figurines that people collect often look one specific way. We should create our own angels to represent what we see and fee.

I think it is just a stereotype kind of a thing. I do not believe that all angels really have blond hair at all.

I have seen angels that weren't blonde. I have seen some Afro American angels, though I agree, most are blonde. I don't know why. I am sure angels come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. It's kind of like all the pictures we see of Jesus. Logic says that since he was Jewish he probably looked nothing like these pictures.
