Where are you from? In what country? What is the population of your hometown? Do you like your hometown? Why or why not? What is the best thing about your hometown? What is the worst thing about your hometown? What are the main attractions in your hometown? Is your hometown famous for anything? Does anyone famous come from your hometown? What's there to do in your hometown? I am from Dawson Creek, BC, Canada (http://www.dawsoncreek.ca/). Dawson Creek is a small city on Northeastern British Columbia with a population of about 12,000 people. The main attraction to Dawson Creek is that it is the official Mile Zero of the World Famous Alaska Highway. There's a post, dubbed the 'Mile "O" post' standing in the centre of town, and tourists always seem to make it a point to stop there and have their picture taken. The closest thing that it claims as it's home town heroes are: -a folk singer named Roy Forbes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roy_Forbes) who was born there -Famous tenor, Ben Heppner (http://www.benheppner.com/) who was raised there I don't like my hometown. I never really did. It's small, the people there are too petty and small-minded. The worst thing about it currently is that it's booming, so the population has exploded in the past 6 months and it has recently developed quite a big drug and violence problem. I would not recommend going to partake in the local nightlife. The best thing about it, as far as I am concerned, is my family, but if you leave Dawson Creek and go and visit some of the surrounding areas there are beautiful sights to be seen. It's highly agricultural, so the outlying areas expand for miles and miles to accomodate for all those rural families. Besides going and checking out the natural parts surrounding the city, there's not much to do in the city limits. As kids we got into a lot of trouble and drank too much. They just opened up quite a large casino (not my scene, but may be someone else's) and are planning to open a sports multiplex in the next few years with a large pool and other recreational activities.

My hometown is a small rural place situated at the top of hill. to come here you must pass through a waterfall which is very beautiful. Everything here is still natural with no pullution, no traffic jam at all and the people are friendly. Only the missing thing is entertainment and city stuffs.

i come from Jakarta (the capital city of Indonesia) and the population there is about 10 millions (if i am not wrong)... Jakarta is a very busy city and it is very popular for its traffic jam... :-) you can take about 2 hours or even more to travel from one place to another when the traffic is really bad... that's why people prefer to travel by motorcycle rather than by car over there... pollution fro the gas emission is pretty bad there because we have too many vehicles on the road... i love the food in my country though... we have many delicious traditional delicacies which i miss a lot because i can't find it here in australia...

My home town..... What can I say about Plum Hollow.. Yes, that is my towns name... The population, since we don't have any sort of official count, I think I would have to say we have about 75 people... Plum Hollow is loacted in South eastern Ontario, Canada. We consist of a bunch of country folk. Almost all of us are farmers with a combination of crop, dairy, and beef farmers. The only store we have in our "town" really doesn't make sense. It is an antique store. Now an antique store would go over well in a larger town we have no need for antques because we all have our own family hand me downs and heirlooms already and don't want more. I think the business is going to go under or move out shortly. A general store or grocery store may go better because it is a good 10-15 minute drive to a small village (population 1500) and if you want a larger town you would hve to drive 30 minutes. I love Plum Hollow because we all know each other. There is not any place out there that if my car breaks down I would be worried about being. I have great neighbours that would drive out of their way to give me a lift or bring a tractor to tow my car out of the ditch... We don't lock our house nor our car doors because none of us would steal on our neighbour who we know and who we watched grow up or whose grandaparents were our best friends etc... Every year we have strawberry socials at the most loacl church, we have memorial services at the local cemetary (which seems to be growing more while the population is shrinking-as is the way with things)... I love that it is safe and a great place to raise kids, I love how we all know each other. I love how I am surrounded by beautiful maple and huge old oak trees. I love how the wild and domestic animals are plentiful (cows, horses, sheep, donkeys, rabbits, deer, fox, wolves, etc...) I love how the water is clear and clean and the sunset and rise isn't burdened by smog or sky scrapers. I don't like that the closest Tim Hortons is 30 minutes away! ;)

I lived in Greenville, Georgia for about 16 years of my life. It's about | | that big, and has about 1,000 people in it. It doesn't have a mall, the closest one is about 20 minutes from it, and only contains a JC Penny and the Crate. The people there are the children of people that have lived there, and their families, for about 100 years, and the ratio of people that leave is like 1:100. I'm so glad I got out of there.

Hi Breepeace, I grew up in Seattle Wa. USA. I currently live in Tacoma Wa. which is about twenty miles south of Seattle. Not sure about the population but its pretty big, as far as attractions go, Seattle has quite a few. Starting with the Space needle, the Pike Place farmers market, the ferries across the sound are a few of the bigger ones. As for famous people, Jimi Hendrix, Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, and Curt Kobain as well as the home of grunge. The Worst thing about Seattle or Tacoma for that matter would be the city counsel's. Take care, Terry

I currently live in Renton, Washington. I'm not much of a fan of Renton itself but it's so close to Seattle that I'm okay with that. It's only about a 10 minute drive (on a good day without traffic!) There is a lot of violence and crime in Renton, but we only live here. If we go out, we go north to Redmond (home of Microsoft) or another close city. They are only about a 5 minute drive. It's a much safer neighborhood with more to do. Western Washington is so beautiful! There are so many trees and water everywhere! We live about a two minute drive from Lake Washington. My son and I go for walks there nearly everyday. The park has two restuarants, a beach, and a trail for walkers/joggers. They have ducks, frogs, turtles and bunnies too. My son likes to see all the animals. It also has a huge playground for children of all ages. Lake Washington is huge and has many different parks along the shores, but the one closest to us is the best. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in the US besides the Seattle area. I've lived in California, Colorado, Illinois and Missouri (plus other countires) and haven't found a place I like more (in the US). It's beautiful, great education systems, usually safe. The only drawback is how expensive it is here! Because of Microsoft you can't find a house cheaper than $300,000! Condos can be hard to find cheaper than that too. I can buy a house in Illionis for $80,000 and that same house would be $450,000 here.

All the way from Cebu, Philippines. Tagged as the 'Queen City of the South'. Admired by people because it's the heart and center of tourism and local industry. All good beaches are here. A lot of tourist - Koreans, Chinese, Americans, came along to visit the pride of the Cebuanos - the local resident of Cebu.

I am from Superior, Wisconsin. It is a small town of about 28,000 people, located in the northern left-hand corner of the state. It is right across the bridge from Duluth, Minnesota. We have a harbor in Lake Superior. That's about the only point of interest I can think of. Other than we have a man-made lake built by the CCC during President Roosevelt's term. It's beautiful. It has the large and small Manitou Falls, a beach, a place to camp, trails, a gorge. The worst thing about Superior is 1.) The job market is terrible 2). There's next to nothing to do when you're a kid (I'm 29 now) 3). There is ALOT of drinking there (Douglas county has so many bars, they had to put a cap on the amount there. You can't open up a bar until a new spot opens up.) That's about all I can think of. It's a beautiful place, but very boring.
