If I had a hammer....

I'd hammer in the morning. I'd hammer in the evening. Okay, Okay, just kidding... If I had a hammer (and no worry aboutthe consequences), I would smash my computer mouse to smithereens. It is giving me nothing but trouble lately. What would you do with a hammer and no concerns to the consequences (you still have a conscience though so please no smashing people or animals)?

Thanks for responding. It is probably better to be constructive rather than destructive ;0). I would enjoy building things with wood...if I had the right tools and the space to do so. I have many ideas for projects floating in my head and hope to some day actually be able to make them.

why don't you just clean out the insides of the mouse's trackball thingie? unless it's an optical mouse of course. or maybe you have malware that causes that. clean out your harddrive using a good antivirus.....
.......or get a Mac. :p

I have considered getting a Mac in the past, but my husband refuses to even consider it so I have no choice but to stick with my Windows based PC. I had cleaned out the trackball, but to no avail and our (former) optical mouse was even worse than the regular mouse. We did end up buying another mouse (optical) and it has been good so far. Hopefully, it stays that way.

While I said in another discussion I'd combine liquid nitrogen + hammer due to what was said at someone I was being facetious (somewhat -_-)
For now I'd do nothing with the hammer. Nothing around here needs smashing...yet.

LOL...adding liquid nitrogen would make it more fun to smash.

i would probably not do anything with the hammer. I don't too often feel like smashing things. Having a bad mouse though is frustrating, so I could definately understand that one! did you get a new mouse yet?

I did get a new mouse before I resorted to smashing the old one with a hammer. I did however spend lots of time smashing the mouse onto the computer desk, which did nothing to fix it nor relieve my stress. Oh well, at least my problem is resolved...for now.

Hi been there and done that. I think I would give it forty whacks and then another forty then I would throw all the pieces out onto Newport blouvard and let the cars smash them into dust whoopee

LOL...That would certainly have made me feel better. I did end up getting a new mouse and then ended up also needing a new keyboard (which has also been replaced). Computers sure make life easier, but they have added a whole new level of frustration as well.
