Big Brother 8--- anyone watch it?

Okay, so I'm the first to admit that Big Brother is one of the worst shows on TV. But I watch it every summer because at least it's new and not reruns. So last night was the first episode of season 8. Did anyone watch? I think the "twist" is pretty lame. 3 of the houseguests have enemies in the house. Big deal! Why only 3? They all should! Also, they already had the ex-factor a few years ago and that was better than this twist! So far I don't like any of the houseguests. And the America's Player twist is kinda dumb, but that guy seems the most likeable. What did you think?

I really liked it- and yes it beats all the reruns- I think it is funny to watch how they gripe at each other- back stab each other and make alliances- I think the twist- "enemies" is ok- I actually think it might work out to their advantage- except for the "gay guys"- the one is really a jerk- I hope it brings the daughter and dad closer together.

One thing I will say. Best line of the night: "Look - it's Anna Nicole's ghost!!" That Danielle girl really does look like Anna Nicole!

I watch it too, but i'm in the UK so i'll be watching a different one than you. I seem to think that in one of the previous series they did the same thing over here - put enemies in the house. I don't think it was from the start though, I seem to think that they had a few enemies of different people in the house and the enemies had to complete a task to see which one went in (I obviously didn't pay much attention to the series because I really can't remember much about it - lol). All they seem to be doing over here in the UK is throwing new people in and i'm sure there's only 5 weeks to go until the end of the series - it's bizarre.

I have to admit that I watched this show when it first began. It's hard to believe that it has lasted eight seasons, because I'm pretty sure I stopped watching it after Season One. I suppose that it reminds some people of 'The Real World', but with a prize attached to it. Frankly, it's nothing like 'The Real World', which if the original and very first reality show of its kind. The only other show that I think comes close to being of any quality is 'Amazing Race', but other than that I can live without going into the personal and private lives of people who just want their fifteen minutes of fame.

To be sincere: I used to watch BB sometimes, but I really do not enjoy such kind of tv show. And now the season 8 is just more annoying than anything else. I prefer watching soap operas and news and that's it, reading is much more interesting! Or talking to friends, surfing on net, going out with your boyfriend, something like that, but not bb plz

Actually as reality shows I think it is one of the better ones. The twist was a little expected as far as I thought. They also seem to have the same type of people all the time. I guess they have to have a cross section of average people. I used to watch Survivor but it has gotten a little dull. I refuse to watch those batchelor/batcherlorette type shows and I rarely watch American Idol. But I do like Dancing with the Stars.

I'll admit it.. I watch too. I have been watching since season 1. I was a bit disappointed with the show last night. It seems like every one is a young twenty-something. Even the dad who is older seems like he acts way younger than he is. I liked how previous shows had some diversity with the people that they picked to be in the house. The "twist" was really stupid. It seems like they have run out of new ideas for the show and now they are just going to recycle stuff they already did. (I don't think that they can top the year that they had the twins switch off living in the house). And I am still cringing at Joe's admission of getting an STD.

I thought the twist was pretty lame too. If they were going to do that, they should've matched everyone up with an "enemy". It all seemed kind of staged to me too. Like when the three of them were upstairs discussing who could be their enemy the blonde girl (sorry I don't remember her name) was like, "Oh. my. god! My enemy from 7th grade!" Seriously, who remembers their enemies from 7th grade? It seemed to me like she already knew who it was going to be. I also don't like that everyone's really young except for Danielle's dad. Mylot won't let me put his name on here. Lame. It always made it more interesting when there was a more diverse group of people. But this group all seems to be the same. Hopefully it'll get better as the season goes on.
