My son is two and had just started taking all the covers off of his bed! The sheets, comforter, extra blankets, everything. He takes it all off and throws it on the floor and then lays on his mattress and watches TV or just plays on the mattress. If I try to fix it and put the covers back on he gets mad and yells, "No Mama!!". I don't know why this is so much fun for him, and it really irritates me because it isn't easy to make a bed and put all the blankets and fitted sheets back on it!! So I am trying not to get mad at him and just let him play. Has anyone else's kid done this?? My daughter never did so I am totally confused by it=)

i have the same dilemma, my 18 month old is son takes off and throws all the blanket and his pillow on the floor also. at first i found it funny but not now as he's doing it all the time. the trick is i make sure that he is really tired and sleepy before i put him in his bed with his milk.

When I turned my daughters crib into the daybed she would do this all the time also. Not sure why it was so fun. She likes tearing things apart. I've never know a girl to do this. So I call her my little tom boy. Now that I had my second child we had to make the bed back into a crib and she has a full size bed. She doesn't tear that one up.

My son did the same thing. It was a phase... But now he's 8 and doesn't make his bed everyday. Only when I remind him. Try getting him a new blanket. The fleece ones are relatively cheap. That might change his attention. I even buy fleece material in fun prints for my kids at Walmart when they go on sale. Some of their favorite 'blankies' have been unsewn fleece 2 yard squares! It's great!
PS = my daughter hasn't done this either. looks like a predisposition!
