What was the best decision you ever made?

I have 4:
(1) to have my son & keep him (even though I was an unwed mother. It was a very hard thing to do, being a single mother. But as I searched for a good life partner for me & a good new & improved father for my son, this brought about #2.)
(2) to marry my 2nd husband. (He brought about #3 & #4.)
(3) to patch things up w/ my family after years of arguing. (I am so sorry for all the things I did when I was battling my family!)
(4) to reclaim my Christianity. (For many years, I considered myself "agnostic" ~ but through trial & error, I realized that this is the only path I can take & be honest with myself.)
What about you?

I have three myself.
1) Breaking up with my ex boyfriend. We did nothing but argue, and now two years later we are really good friends. It was the best for all involved.
2)Getting together with my current love. We have everything in common, and he has brought out sides in me I didn't think I had.
3) Going to art school. I didn't learn much from school, but it gave me time to figure out what I want in life and how I will achieve it. It also forced me to live far away from family and friends, which made me appreciate them so much more when I could finally meet them every day again.

I'm still young so there isn't much important decisions to be made yet. However choosing to go to university was a big one as well as choosing what course to do also. I wasn't sure what I really wanted to do, so I ended up choosing computing since that is something I liked. And at first, it seemed really hard and especially during exam times, perhaps the most stressful period of my life ever. But looking back (I'm still halfway through 2nd year) everything seems so much easy and seems so worth it. It's changed myself so much that I now try to enjoy it as much as I can (the study) and I am getting good results as well as making so new friends as well as enjoying the stuff I learn too.

I have one too
to quit my first job since my graduation from higher school when it was really hard to make this decision for me in that "for one thing, the manager attached great importance to me and i have got a promotion for director in a workshop then, for another, however,I don't want to become a manager and stay always in a remote area in the future. My real aspiration is to become a biological scientist. Therefore,i decided to take postgratuation exam and i have got across by now .I 'm so luck to achieve that although it only got a foot in the door.

I have 2:
One is my arranged marriage, i want my mom to be happy, in India the customary marriages are given weightage than the love marriage. My mom suffered a lot in her life to bring us up so i made it a point though if i like someone, i need to give my mom the happiness of me marrying her choice. And her choice is always the best for me for she is my living god. So i married a person and living happy come what may.
I got a lovely daughter of 7 years of age, till recent past we both had an opinion that one baby is enough for us for we could not afford for another kid all the facilities we give the first one, but seeing her lonely feeling and her longing for a sibbling, i only took the decision not to delay more cause my age is also a factor for the second delivery and now that i'm expecting my second kid-at home everything is at peace, especially my daughter who is thrilled for the new comer. I have convinced my husband that i will work from home and there are good sites where we can earn from home. with a hope see now i'm discussing things to improve my earnings in this site.

One good decision I made was to get an education at the university. It has come in very handy for me and helped me build a career.

For the best things have been following.
Switching from the commercial OS's on the computer platform to freeware.
That I began to program.
Began being political active and getting settled down on a place, and have an appendion.
Got rid of the christianty, and for that matter all the other religions as I found they are not really that useful, in this way I am more true towards what I want to spend my life upon.

Well, that is just great for you then. It sounds like alot happened in your life and that is just fantastic. I guess the best decision I've ever made is to go to school because I hated school just after 3 years of college and didn't want to do it anymore.

To cut the person I loved most out of my life when I realized that she was not the person I thought her to be. I believe that love can blind you to a person's true character especially mother love.

I also have a few.
1. Having and keeping my daughter. I was only 17, and everyone told me I couldn't be a good mother, but she is now a happy, healthy 17 year old. I couldn't be prouder of her.
2. Leaving my first husband after 13 years of abuse.
3. Marrying my second husband. He is an amazing man, and has shown me that true love and healthy relationships do exist.
4. Quitting my job as a hairdresser. I haven't got another job yet, but I was so burnt out, I would have gone crazy if I'd have had to cut another head of hair.
