I Can Now Understand People Who Beg

I just posted a bulletin on myspace page, begging people to go to my ebay site and buy my items. I am so stressed out and desperate about my car insurance being canceled and not having the money to get it back in force. My husband needs to drive that car to get to work.
So, I got on to myspace and posted a bulletin begging my friends to check out my items on ebay, and if they didn't see anything they wanted, then, there was also a paypal donation button on my myspace page and also on my blog at blogspot.
I've always thought low of others who have done this kind of thing, but now I can see that when you're desperate, and you can't find a job, you gotta do what you gotta do to survive.
I will never condemn others I see doing this same thing, again. I am now walking in their shoes, and now I can see what drives people to beg. I don't feel right doing it, I feel weird.
But desperate times call for desperate measures.
And I've been feeling so stressed out and depressed about it, I can't even enjoy the summer with my kids, because I'm always down and preoccupied. I can see that they're getting down about it. I try, I really do try, to just forget about everything, and try to have fun with them, but my mind is always wandering.
I know they deserve my full, undivided attention. I really pray that when they grow up, they'll have better opportunities and lives.

Have you thought about getting a part time job? You said it yourself "desperate times call for desperate measures". You can work when your husband is at home to watch the kids.
There is no he needs me to cook and all of that. He is a grown man and can take care of himself.
If you need more money you need to make more. How you make it is up to you.
Did you do well with your "begging" campaign?

I have been looking for part-time jobs. I've applied to so many places. My husband works 2nd shift, which means he works from 2:30 in the afternoon until 11:00 at night. So, I've submitted applications everywhere, with my available hours as mornings and weekends. Not one place has contacted me. They want someone who can work afternoons and evenings.
Thank you for your response.

I do not know your qualifications only the hours available.
Have you tried a bakery, fed ex, ups or usps?
I know they all start early which might be good for you. There are also prep jobs in restaurants that may allow you to work 4 hour shifts.
Money is money and everyone pays about the same in WV.
Good luck to you.

Oh friend. I can imagine how you are feeling when you posted this discusion. That is how life is, you don't tend to find what you are looking when you are desperate about it. It is actually a weird thing to beg, but one have to do it at times when we fall in need that required maximum attention. I wish your children the best in life. Don't you worry, just keep praying for your kids, they will definitely have better opportunity. Thanks

I am so sorry. I dont think you are begging though! Try not to think of it that way! Your just doing what you have to do to make it. I think you should just take a deep breath and try to destress. I have had money problems before and know they are not fun :(
Anyways, I hope you get a great ending to this. (hugs) to you and your family!

I don't know if you would be comfortable donating your eggs to a couple thats having trouble conceiving but that pays about $10,000. I decided I couldn't deal with that myself though so I donate plasma twice a week. It takes about an hour and a half each visit, but I get paid $55 a week for doing it. Maybe you should check out blood banks and plasma centers in your area.

There is a place by me where you can donate plasma. I will have to look into that. Thank you for the advice.

I'll be praying for you, It's a unfortunate situation. Stay away from Ebay and put your stuff in classifieds or have a yard sale. Cut something else out of your lifestlye.
Internet Service, Cable, Phone service (all together or cut other hidden fees out) Call and ask if local utilities can be same every month so there not fluctuating. Thery are many other things in our daily life we can do without if it gets bad enough. You can still have fun with your kids just may have to change what your use too.

We have already cut out the cable, back in January. The internet, we do need, because I am trying to earn money on affiliate sites and survey sites. Even if I earn just enough to buy a gallon of milk, it's something.
Thank you for your input.

We reach our highest points after we overcome our lowest.
I am self-employed.
I wanted to start a company to design, install and maintain flower beds. So I got a job doing nothing but installing and maintaining flower beds to learn more. I did until I got tired of making someone else rich and started my company about 4 years ago.
When I first started I would do anything that involved landscaping that payed which included mowing lawns. Now I pick and choose. Eventually I will do nothing except flower bed installation and maintenance. I am sure of it.
I started the company with a lawn mower that I bought for $25 and a $5 weedeater. I still use the mower. Anything is possible if you put your mind to it and you are willing to give 100%.
What I am getting at is there are a lot of ups and downs in life. I have had 2 really bad lows in my life worse than your situation and now look at them as stepping stones.
It will get better as long as you are willing to make it better.

First, I'm sorry that this is happening. Second...always look for the good. it can get tiring, being already tired, but look hard. It's out there. Look to your kids, and remember to smile every once and a while. Life is not fair, it sucks. We've all got times in our lives that are horrid. You'll get through this. Stand strong, I know you can do it.

you we almost share the same experience but i had this economic insight about that. there is an underlying economic perspective on BEGGING, it is a tool to channel funds from one area to another. just like what the foundations and/or civic-organizations are doing.
so there should be no cause of discomfort in your part. if people have more than enough resource then they must channel it to others because this will facilitation money movement.
you know this is a whole bunch of economics thing but the point is just be thankful if they will channel funds to you. and keep trying this will be your participation in the whole face of economic activity.
God bless!!
