How old were you when you first get drunk? What was the experience like?

I was 16 when I had my first drunken experience and it didn't feel very pleaant. I went home and thought I could hide it from my parents, but they saw what I looked like. Next thing I was lying on my bed and the ceiling started spinning. My dad came into my room and he was very sympathetic as by now I was in a panic. I was sick then went to sleep. Next morning was a different story. I got a good telling off from my dad for allowing myself to come home in that state and I was lucky I had not been picked up by the police... and on and on and on... I then stopped drinking for a long time, and after that got a little light-headed from time to time, and drunk too much very rarely.

I am 34 years old and have never been drunk - nor do I desire to be. I grew up with a wet bar in my house. For those that don't know, a wet bar is a bar with a sink. *grins*. We had hundreds of bottles of liquer. Reason? Mom bartended and my Dad was a police officer. Once a month, my parents would host a night where fellow officers (off duty of course), would come by for a shift party. Anyways, so I grew up with all that liquer around and never once had a desire to drink any. I have drank in the years since, but I always knew "enough was enough". I drink about once a year, if that. I never drink out, in public - only in my home. I never fancied the "morning after" - throwing up, headaches, etc. Not my idea of fun in the least.

hi kyutstudph! i first get drunk when i was 16. it was the last day of may and the school has just ended. i wish i could tell the experience of it but i just can't remember. next day i had really bad hangover and i remember thinking if the feeling is forever..:) nowaday i hardly never drink at all.

i started drinking when i was 17 like you, i'm with my college friends.. it wasn't really a hard drink, after drinking i feel a little dizzy, sleepy and feel hot.. but the last time i get drunk is when i'm with my officemates.. they say that i started yelling and laughing all the time. they even took a picture of me that night, and the rest i was sleeping in the car...

Quite unusual but I'm not into drinking. Thought I'm not ignorant about it and no one is preventing me to drink but I don't find it yummy,, lol.. I do had a sip when I was in college but not in my life that I got drunk or tipsy ever.

The first time I got drunk was when I was in Germany this summer. I'm 19, so it was legal there for me to order without parents. The experience sucked. I would much rather have been high. I didn't have more than 3/4 drinks and I was nearly knocking others drinks off the table every five minutes going to the bathroom. I was terribly tipsy and finally, after smoking some excellent strawberry hookah, I resigned to bow before the porcelein god and throw up my pizza and booze.

I never got that far before because I am a chicken but maybe someday. I got a little drunk once when my husband took me out for our anniversary.

I was around the same age 16 or 17 when i first tryed drinking. I got sick and learned not to drink so much at one time.

I was only 12 or 13 years old the first time I got drunk. I was taken to a wedding by my parents and allowed to have a glass of champagne for the toast. I got the taste for it and went around the tables, finishing off all the half empty glasses. Boy was I ever in trouble for that one.

I think I got drunk when I was 19 during my college days. it was a drinking session with some of my closed college friends, all guys. It was a horrible experience for me. In fact, I vomit for at least 3 times and I slept for the next day.

Well now I am going to sound like a real hooligan! When we were 14 we decided to have a drink for our Christmas Dance at school! My friend got drunk and sick so we were all pretty scared - she had drank more than the rest of us and I think it scared us off for a while! xxx

The first time I got drunk I was also 17. I was at a friends house and we were drinking the pre mixed Long Island Teas. Since that was my first time really drinking I ended up getting pretty drunk. But I remembered everything about it and never blacked out or anything awful like that. I just remember sitting there talking like crazy and acting like an idiot.

I was 18 and I was living out side of my parents home. I was drinking slow gin with koolaide. Sounds gross to me now. I gots so sick I did get drunk after that you would have thought I would have learned from the first hang over. No it took several more hang overs before I learned I did not like the hang overs. LOL
