I am showing my age here .. not that I was around for the full blown disco era, but I caught the tail end of it. What's your favorite disco song? Mine - well, Shake Your Booty by KC & The Sunshine Band, Benny & The Jets by Elton John and Brick House by The Commodores. There's more but I won;t drag this post out ...

The disco era was my favorite era. I would be here all day typing my favorites. So I will do my best to shorten it. I really like anything by the Bee Gees, Donna Summer, KC & The Sunshine Band, and yes, even The Village People. I still enjoy this music today. The one song that sticks out the most is Donna Summers "I Will Survive".

Ohhh my! Just one? I dearly loved the 70's and 80's disco music. I was in college in the mid 70's and remember vividly dancing the night away to such greats as KC & The Sunshine Band, The Bee Gees, The Commodores, and others! I suppose I would have to list as my favorite either the song, 'Night Fever' by the Bee Gees or 'Boogie Shoes' by KC & The Sunshine Band. (since you have already mentioned 'Brick House!!!') I loved the whole sound track from Saturday Night Fever...there wasn't a bad song on that one! Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

OMG you are showing you're age hehe... obviously I don't remember the 70's disco era (what a liar I am lol) Ok hands up I suppose it's got to be something from Grease or Saturday night fever (Bee Gee's Night Fever) or even D.I.S.C.O can't remember who it's by though, I suppose it's got to be Night Fever theme tune to Saturday Night Fever - it's definately a floor filler! Great discussion (but makes me feel old :-()

i'm gonna have to vote for rick james' "give it to me baby".i know technically he's funk, but his stuff tended to crossover at the time.i still love the bassline in that song.
