The correct verse is John 10:16 which has been misinterpreted by another religion. I simply means believing Gentiles and not aliens from other worlds or separated jews in America visited by Jesus after his resurrection.

You really don't need a religion, thats why its called faith and beliefs and oh yes the sweet concept of free will. Of course you, me and several others will encounter people who just cant stand it. Thanks for sharing your thought Sigma.

Very vague question, what does aliens have to do with our religion??? I think that people are unique and our religion whatever we believe in doesn't involve the aliens. This is my opinion, I am not criticizing your topic just sharing my thoughts. No offense meant.... good day

Here is a thought. Most religions are on an as you need to know basis. If they are not mentioned maybe it was for a reason and aliens are probably evil since they came here.
Perhaps they sold their souls if they had one to begin with to become advanced kind of like what we humans are doing and so they are here up to no good.
In any case, this is interesting and one I hope to know about for sure sometime in my life.

Actually, the existence of aliens wouldn't really affect my religious beliefs at all. Since I believe in many Gods that exist in many planes of existence, it makes perfect sense to me that there would be other life forms on other planets, perhaps created by their own Gods, or by the same ones as us. *shrugs*

*nods* The pantheon I follow is Celtic, but I also believe that there are likely Gods other than mine that exist. I'm a Celtic Reconstructionist Pagan. Historically most religions have been polytheistic actually (believing in multiple gods) and while monotheism might be considered more mainstream now, that doesn't mean everyone is monotheistic now.

so who are some of your gods and what do they do?
are they like planetery? like jupiter or venus?
or are they like human related? like athena or nike?
+ my main questions are, are they all omnipotent? and do they all have diffrent consciousnesses?

I think it would knock religions for a loop. For instance it says God created the Earth but it didn't say anything about other worlds so if aliens were discovered ,religion would be in an uproar

No, God's word is still exist. Aliens won't change it.
Revelation 5:13
Then I heard EVERY CREATURE in HEAVEN and ON EARTH and UNDER the EARTH and ON the SEA, and ALL THAT is in THEM, singing: "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!"
Conclusion: God has created many creatures.

Yes, it does prove that God has created many creatures not only on Earth but also in other world (Revelation 5:13 "...EVERY CREATURE in HEAVEN....")
I believe that Bible has described different creatures which are different from us.
Let's see Ezekiel 1-24. I'll only quote a part of it. I think you can read the rest of them.
Ezekiel 1:4-5
"I looked, and I saw a windstorm coming out of the north—an immense cloud with flashing lightning and surrounded by brilliant light. The center of the fire looked like glowing metal, and in the fire was what looked like four living creatures. In appearance their form was that of a man,...."
Ezekiel 1:15-18
"As I looked at the living creatures, I saw a wheel on the ground beside each creature with its four faces. This was the appearance and structure of the wheels: They sparkled like chrysolite, and all four looked alike. Each appeared to be made like a wheel intersecting a wheel. As they moved, they would go in any one of the four directions the creatures faced; the wheels did not turn about as the creatures went. Their rims were high and awesome, and all four rims were full of eyes all around."
You see... in the biblical times, people might also encountered different species which were different from humans. Those "living creatures" may be considered as "Every creature in Heaven". They didn't call it as UFO.

I cannot speak for another religions, but for Christianity I know that even if there are aliens that is not going to affect Christian theology. Yes the Bible says that we are special but that does not rule out the existence of aliens.

Too hard to accept people might be Christian and still have some degree of open mindedness? Fine, believe what you will. I personally think the aliens are out there but I could supposedly be considered a Christian (to some I'm not) and scientist (again, to some I'm not). We all will believe as we wish and a lot of the time we our arguments and statements will convince no one.

Finding out that there is a more advanced race out there in the universe doesn't mean that religions are wrong.
A religion is based on spirituality, you can still be spiritual and have other races in the universe, I'm sure that the other races have spirituality and religions too.
A different life form/race is something physical where as a religion is spiritual.

It does not matter if there are advanced races out there. The Bible speaks of us knowing things that angels wish to know. Angels are spiritual beings with great power. They are able to take human form, while we cannot take the spiritual form. We only get that when we die. God came to the human race, so unless that alien race was able to mate with the human race, they would be like the angels wishing to have what we have but being unable to. Christianity is based on God wanting us for His children. It does not depend on our ability. We are rather imperfect beings. For instance, I can will myself to bear children, I cannot lift myself bodily off the ground and fly without a mechanical device. If someone cut off my arm, another arm would not grow in its place. I could not will my mother's cancer away, so it is a miracle that God ever wanted us for his children. And if there were another race out there, advanced or not, if God wanted to call them, HE would, but HE would not abandon us for them.

This is a common misconception about Religion. It wouldn't affect most of them at all, because usually the God created the HUMAN RACE and even if that isn't specified or God created EVERYTHING, who's to say "advanced Aliens" weren't created by a God as well?
