I slept for a couple of hours today and thats just not me. I didnt go outside today because its unbearable hot. Do you think Im feeling this way from being outside yesterday in the heat?

That could be it Terry. You may have gotten a bit too much sun if your not feeling the best today. Take another rest and see how you feel later on. take care!

I am sure that it is from the heat. It takes alot out of you. I would wait until tomorrow and see if I was feeling any better.

It sounds like some sort of heat exhaustion to me. The heat does the same thing to me sometimes. Its important to drink a lot but try to avoid anything with caffeine in it as that can dehyrdrate you more. I always use the hot weather as an excuse to eat more chips because of the salt.lol.

The heat can really zap your energy for days after being in the sun for a long period. I hope you had plenty of fluids and are not/were not on the verge of being dehydrated! I hate to see what the temps are going to be like in August and September this year! I'm really dreading it because I'm having a hard time dealing with the heat myself!
You take care!

Don't worry TerryZ--I'm not exactly zippy do da myself---I'm not a hot weather person to begin with, plus I have no air-conditioning...I have to race to the kitchen and pour water on my head and face to cool down...and if I drink anymore liquids I'll float since I'm so thirsty all the time...There were a lot of errands I wanted to do today, but when I went out it was like, nuts..to darn hot...did go to the PO...and for a change didn't mind waiting on line...so delightfully cool in there...then dashed to the supermarket just get a few things...but still wanted to do more and forget it...and it's actually COOLER in the apt.--by maybe a whole degree..LOL
Just take it easy...no aerobics for you...LOL
It hasn't been easy for me to work in the computer either...I feel brain-drained...but did manage to work on a revision of my listing of published photos--to be continued tomorrow

Oh how I wish I could get a/c but wouldn't have the money right now to get one and probably couldn't afford the electric bill...--I hear how expensive running a/c is..yiked
And real glad to hear you're better!! I went to my library to cool off awhile--was delightful

I read your post with a smile on my face. This Saturday (July 14th) happens to be the 8th birthday of my son. He has given, in advance, a looooooooong list of things he wants to do. Every year we throw a small party at home and this year we wanted an exception. Guess it boomeranged on me! On his birthday, he wants to leave home at around 10:30am, breakfast outside, visit the museums and places, lunch at McDonalds, shop, watch the latest Harry Potter in the evening, dine at Pizza Hut and return home not before 11pm. Whew! And to think, we don’t even have a car and are totally dependent on public transport. My condition will be like yours and I am already dreading my decision not to have a home-party.

Too much heat can do that too you. It has that affect on me sometimes. Allergies can also get to you if you have them. Sometimes being outside a lot can trigger some of my allergies and then I get that same feeling too. In any case, drink plenty of water to make sure you avoid dehydration, and hopefully you will feel better soon.

yeah, maybe it's the weather and that you're feeling tired due to lack of rest? i'm not feeling quite myself today too, feel rather sick. at work, everyone was cold but i felt extremely warm and had a massive headache. i could barely do any work. i haven't gotten much rest and sleep since last week and i feel really tired and exhausted! dont worry about it, it is just you got too much sun yesterday and sometimes it could make you sick cuz of that too. So just relax, drink a lot of water and take shower. Another thing, you should keep yourself busy in the house otherwise you will be lacking all day. I was like this yesterday. If you can, please eat some hot soup. I hope you feel better soon

When I am overheated I take a long shower. I start with warm water and gradually turn down the hot water until I can bear the colder water temp. If I don't take a shower I sit in my 18" deep pool. That cools me off quick. The weather has been so hot these past few days and will not ease up until later this week.

Yes, the heat can really zap your energy. You might also have an allergy to something you were around yesterday. When I sleep more than usual it is often some type of allergy stirring up.

hello terryz :-)
i hope you are feeling better when you received my response. anyway,i also think it is probably because of the heat. realy hot weather is really exhausting. a simple chore becomes a strenous task as your whole body will be filled with pespiration in minutes.
anyway, a little sun protection, rest, lots of fluids and healthy diet will let you have fun in summer without the hassle.
i guess the intense heat is brought about by global warming. we all should do our share to save the planet from this threat.
