When we were in school, independence day was a sacred day. We would dress up very well, hoist the national flag, march past the town with a disciplined drill, assemble at school to have sweets, listen to the speeches related to topics on how we got independence.
Now I am in business, I know what kind of politicians we have, nothing is so important, it is just customery. We hardly rejoice on independence day.

Maybe you could just ignore about the politicians. Just celebrate it with your heart, that's all. Independence day is the day when we are free from any foreign intruders. We should appreciate the true meaning of independence. Thanks for replying, friend.

Hi to you too. Hope you are having a nice day today. I can see it is celebrated with such dignity in your country. Whenever I see a flag being raised, I would feel honor sipping inside my body.
Here I am thrilled and can't wait to see this year's independence celebration in my country. I am expecting it to be the grandest celebration ever. We have been celebrating it the whole year this year, and it's peak is coming this 31st of August. I am shedding tears as I am typing this. I love my country, and this year it's turning 50, what a wonderful feeling it is.

We do not really do much for the Independence Day. But we do take the time to thank God that we are here and our country is free.

In my country we stick flags on our cars too. This year is our 50th anniversary, so there will be going a huge celebration. I've heard some people are going to put 50 flags on their cars. Awesome.
