How hot is it?

We have two air conditioners and two fans. It is hot. I had a mammogram today and that made it even hotter. I drink lots of cold water. I would not camp on the floor. Can't stand a hard floor, and is there any other kind?

I feel your pain. Our temperature here in Houston will hit the high 90's today. Combine that with the high humidity the temperature will feel like it is in the 100's. We used to rent a really nice big house until our electric bills got to be so high we could not longer afford to live there. We have had to move to a much smaller place. It is still hot. Now we have discovered that the ac unit here is low on freon. Until we can get that fixed we will just have to suffer because I cannot afford to let the ac run so long.

I'm not the only one !!!!!!!!!!!! LOL Same here. During all winter I'm complaining about the cold and then summer comes and here I am wishing for the winter again heheh - well or at least spring or fall - ANd my situation is basically the same as yours with my room on the hot 3rd floor - the place where no one can even breathe LOL - and the ac in the living room. I have done the camp out in the living room quite often. We actually have our camping mats close by for the very hot days.

It's pretty warm tonight, the heat reached 95 today. We are lucky that we have A/C which filters through to all the rooms to keep them cool. I have actually turned it off nopw because it is getting too cold for me. I don't like using the A/C but my son sweats during the night and sometimes the ceiling fan doesn't help. My son and I love camping out in the lounge even if it was cold or hot. It's fun and games!

We've only had AC for a few years. In the summer, usually there are only a few days a year when the heat becomes intolerable for me. I think it has something to do with the way my house is laid out. It's a split level, and with the windows and doors open, the breeze flows through the house making it pleasant. The garage is also generally cool, even on hot days. Before we had AC, a couple of times I went to sleep on the couch in the basement to keep cool. As for sleeping on the living room floor, I used to fall asleep on the floor while watching tv with the kids when they were small.

I am right up there with you. We have 90-100 degree weather this week which is kinda rare for where I live in a rainy state. We have a ceiling fan in the famiy room no A/C we don't really ever need here in this state. So we all slept in the famiy room last night. I am the same way. I compain about winter that its too cold, kids won't or can't play outside because its cold and now its too hot. They won't play outside now because it is too hot. Can't there ever just be a happy medium. And side note, I am so jealous you have a third foor ;). I always wanted a three story house. They sound cool, but I guess not literally because heat rises and it sucks right now. Sorry for you. MAybe try a few fans in the kids rooms or yours. It might not do much but bow around the hot air, but it could help.

since you have the ac in the living room and cannot bear the heat it is but natural to sleep in the living room if your budget permits you have to have a central ac which keeps the whole house cool

Hot, hot, hot. 95F feels like 105F high humidity and the same forecasted for the next few days. My A/C never quits and I have it set at 80F. I don't mind the temps it is the humidity that is stifling.

Yesterday I had insulation blowen into my home.I hope that helps. I also have a hole home A/c but my home is one story and seem to be smaller than yours. My husband and I sleep with the windows opend at night also.

im in virgina beach virginia and its 98 at the lowest. and humid, it's really bad.
