Why are you learning English?

English isn't my native language but it's is the second language in almost all the schools here and is compulsory.Moreover, being a global language , knowing English helps in communicating with an international audience and in furthering your career.

In my country (SA) we have 11 official languages and it is compulsory to learn English, English is very important not just internationally but also to communicate in my own county because of the diversity. I am Afrikaans and here are the different languages in my country. hi there, here in my country the Philippines, English is used as the language of trade and industry, it is mainly used in the school as well,that's why the percentage of filipino speaking english people is almost 90% in the city areas alone...
