Some people thought that they really need to learn HTML in order to have their own website. Are you agree? I think my answer is NO. My reasons are, firstly, today there a lot of softwares such as Dreamweaver, Microsoft frontpage and NVU(open source) that help us to create website without learn any html code.It based on What You See What You Get (WYSWYG). This softwares help us as easy as we use Microsoft Word to write a document. Don't say that you don't know how to use Microsoft word. So, my point here, are still need to learn to html programming to a build a website.? Give your opinion here. Tq.

hello, I would suggest you have to leanr HTML for creating websites because HTML is the basic and first step to creating website. There are many readymade softwares or website editors are there to create website so you can use that also but if when you want to modify it that time HTML knowledge is very essential.
So i would like to suggest you , you have to learn HTML. Well Html is not programming at all, it is markup language. So you have to learn it, it will be better for you. If you can learn Html you can easily create website or modify it.

I wouldn't say you need to but it does help to know how to code exactly. I learned it and I haven't regretted that even though it can be a lot of memorizing on that. I'm sure everyone knows how to use Microsoft Word. I guess it just depends on how far you want to take your learning and what you're willing to learn.
I know there's software out there like Dreamweaver and Frontpage that I have used to name a few, it just helps to know the codes. Maybe not a requirement but for a basic site but for more complex sites, it would help to have that knowledge.

You really can create a website using WYSIWYG editors but it would help a lot if you know HTML.
Because WYSIWYG editors nowadays inserts unneccessary tags in your code, making it bloated.
You can customize your website more if you know HTML.
And besides, HTML is not hard to study.

It is much better to learned html in creating a website because you are well aware of every aspect of it thus you can easily modify it with your prefered style. But I am also interested on learning those softwares, I just think it is much better to start with the basic. Whatever we use I hope we can build informative and helpful websites.

Even if you use software like Dreamweaver or FrontPage, you should still have a basic understanding of HTML, so you can go in and tweak and insert HTML when you need to. I don't really think you need to be an "expert". I use FrontPage, and it really isn't that hard to figure out what should go where if you just play around with it.

Yes, you still must learn HTML to create "better" websites. DREAMWEAVER, FRONTPAGE are just HTML editors for you to ease you way on making website but not all aspects of building can be done on the WYSWYG editors. Inserting some javascript codes and PHP codes are done on the HTML Coding viewer (fortunately Dreamweaver supports both coder and designer Views) and you should have at least basic knowledge in HTML to understand where to insert or edit the scripts or codes.

well...i think to know html is important, because if you know the code you can do all...
but it depends...if you need to build a website in a few minutes, softwares are important...
for example, i like to study html, and i'm building my website since last year...because it isn't a commercial website, and so i have all the time i need...however i think it's beautiful starting from a white page, and then write html code manually...
