mY father had a mild stroke last Sunday, though I dont want to be disturb with it...and believe that he is ok now, things are going out of hand. He's having trouble with eyesight and now he is acting like a child. He's blood pressure never goes down from 180/100 even with medicine. My dear fellow, please help me pray for my dad.

Oh my dear I am so sad that you are feeling so sad and of course I will pray for your father and that you feel better and stronger very soon! It is really hard when our parents get older and have health problems. My grandmother adopted and raised me she is now 83 and helps me more than you could believe, I have major back problems and cannot do much at all , she helps me with housework and looking after the children when my partner is at work. I am not telling you all this to show how lucky I am but to give you hope because a few years ago my Gran was in a similar position to your father - she had had very high blood pressure for years and had a stroke, at that time I was still fit and helped as much as I could n ow she has got her blood pressure under control and has fully recovered from her stroke! Try to stay positive my friend - there is hope! Keeping you and your father in my prayers! Hugs xxx

Please do not lose your heart or do not be so disheartened.
We all pray here that your father would be alright very soon.
Have faith in God...He is Great...He would take care of him and would give him strength to fight the sudden illness.
Wish your father a speedy recovery.
Best of Luck!

Your family will be in my prayers and meditations. You said his blood pressure doesnt go down even with medicine I get the feeling that he might not be taking it every day or when he should be since you said he is acting like a child. Its very important that he sticks to it taking it, half the time isnt going to help at all. Blood pressure medication needs to be taking on time and it can take days of taking it consistently for it to have a effect.
When bad things happen sometimes we become disheartened and dont stick to doing the things that are best for us and get into the "oh whats the point it doesnt seem to be helping" attitude. His attituide is whats best for him right now to keep him healthy.

My prayers are with you dear lucky_witch. By the way i just wonder, how old is he? does he have any other ailments such as diabetes? Is he in a hospital right now? I dont get what you meant by acting like a child? There are certain things in God's will, we only can pray for help and keep our faith in Him. I know its difficult but try to think about how you'd feel after he recovers from this. That's what I did when my son had to undergo heart surgery at the age of 3. You are just in a period of trial, be confident and courageous. Wish you all the luck.

Hello lucky_witch,
I hope everything will be okay with your dad. Please don't worry too much. I understand how it feels seeing someone that we love so much is in pain. My pray will always be with you. It is very hard to understand our parents when they are getting older as they sometimes, will react like a child again. Just be patient. God will always there to hear and help you!
