that 'the boy who lived' might not actually live that long.
Even before the 4th book came out, rumors of the now billionaire author of the best seller Harry Potter Series JK Rowling might actually kill Harry Potter in the final installment of the book.
But a lot of her fellow writers have been convincing Rowling to let Harry Potter live.
From her last interview, JK seemed to be preparing followers of Harry Potter for the confirmation of the big rumor that she might've ended young Harry's life. She was, according to a friend, throwing little hints that there won't be any Harry Potter books after the release of Deathly hallows as she is now venturing into other forms of writing novels.

J.K. HAS said that one of the three characters will die. Whether it's Harry or not, I guess we'll all find out on July 21!
As far as the rumor that Harry must be going to die because JK is ending the series is just that...a rumor. Yes, he may die, but she's not killing him off because she wants to stop writing the series. She's had the series planned for years as a 7 book series, following the characters through the standard 7 years at Hogwarts.

Seems dumb to put an end to a good thing, especially when it launched her career and has made her a household name, not to mention a millionaire. But it is her decision and totally hers alone.

I really don't know what her plans for harry are but what I do know is that the 7th books is going to be the last of the Harry Potter series. She has said that time and time again that she will stop after the 7th book.

well, it could very well be a dramatic, though tragic ending to the harry potter series if harry were to die during his final battle with voldemort. i, myself, would rather see him survive, though. perhaps the reason why the deathly hallows would be the last of the harry potter books is because it was really supposed to be the story of harry's years at hogwarts and besides, i don't see any other nemesis that could take over voldemort's role when harry finally vanquishes him in book 7 for even from the beginning of the harry potter saga it was the escalating conflict between him and harry that kept the story going. so, perhaps that's the real reason why there won't be any harry potter books after book 7 and not necessarily because harry would die. i pray he doesn't...please, please!!!

we dont know what is cooking in the mind of JKR. but she has dropped slight hints that she may kill off harry to prevent future writers from writing sequels to the book. and maybe she will.
