I like the lights and the Christmas excitment - true. But I hate crowds and angry shoppers.

I usually do most of my Christmas shopping online. It is so much easier, and I can't stand fighting the crowds at the malls. But part of me misses going through the malls and shopping for gifts. You always find things you never even considered.

I really enjoy getting out in the stores and picking up my gifts for everyone. I do very little shopping for the holidays online because unless you do this early, the shipping gets backed up and I don't want to Christmas shop in September. I wait until December and enjoy the store decorations.

I did my shopping online last year. I ended up paying too mmuch in shipping costs, though. This year, I am almost finished with my shopping already. I only bought a few things online.

My shopping was motivated by quitting my job. I had to finish up shopping while I still had money in the bank! LOL I'm starting a business, and have my first client, so I'll have money coming in soon. My final paycheck and vacation cash-out has held us over for the past month.

Well i hate shopping at centres. (shopping mall)
Personally i hate it because there are so many rude people who push and wack you with there shopping because there in a rush. So yeah we did our shopping for christmas online here =)
We did nip down town for a few things and found we didn't really escape the above but my wife and i had fun looking for presents which they didn't have in stock online. Mainly those for my little bugger.
Kudos!

I know what you're saying with the rudeness and rushing. I'm doing more online each year.

worse than fighting the crowds though would be the shipping charges. so, i think i'd rather shop with the crowd.

See I'm from Canada. We don't have any of that here. Our Thanksgiving is in October, yours is the end of Nov. right?

I realize this was posted about 4 months ago and was talking about Christmas 2006, but I'm going to answer it anyway. LOL
I usually do at least SOME of my Christmas shopping online. I hate the crowds, too, so I like to try to avoid them. Plus, sometimes, you can find great deals online. This year (2007), I will probably do most, if not all of my Christmas shopping online because I've moved away from home and this way, I could buy them online and have them shipped to my parents' house and I wouldn't have to worry about how I'd get them down there cuz they'll already be there waiting for me. :)

that's planning ahead - good for you. I will likely do most of mine online this year too. It sure seems to be the way things are going, doesn't it. If I can get something delivered to my door (in some cases even giftwrapped) and I don't have to go out in the cold to buy it -- why not!

Yeah, exactly! And I don't drive, either, so it's just easier to have it delivered. I can't exactly step onto the bus with armfuls of stuff, can I? Well, I suppose I can, but it'd annoy the other passengers and just make things hard on myself and everyone else.

I am not sure I am going to do much online or not. There is one thing I might be purchasing online but not sure yet. If I was, I would have to think about doing it soon to avoid the rush, wouldn't I?

I have thought about doing it online, but my Mother bought a present for my brother online two years ago and it never turned up.
